本日ご紹介させていただくのは
ホテル花小路から徒歩7分ほど。
もちいどのセンター街の
スーパーのあるビルの2階、
洋酒の生チョコレートが楽しめるお店
《バーマンズチョコレート》
さんへ
お邪魔しました😊

店内はまるでバーのような
お洒落な雰囲気で
（ショコラティエさんは
バーテンダーの経歴があるそうです）
工房とカフェを併設されています。

百貨店のチョコレートの催事などで
出店されているので
ご存知の方もいらっしゃるのでは？😊
洋酒入りの生チョコレートは
お土産やギフトにもぴったりですよ♪

この日お願いしたのは和紅茶と
プレミアムチョコレートケーキのセットです😊
洋酒がふんわり香る
しっとりとしたチョコレートケーキが
和紅茶ととても合います♪
お酒に弱い私でも香りを楽しみながら
美味しくいただきました😋

お土産には3種3粒の味の
生チョコレートが楽しめる詰め合わせと
バターサンドを購入させていただきました♪
どちらも注文してから
新しいものを用意していただけます😊
生チョコレート3種は味や香りの違いが楽しめ
バターサンドも美味しかったので
私はまた買いに行きます😋♪

Today, I’d like to introduce
a spot located about a 7-minute walk from Hotel Hanakomichi.
It’s on the second floor of the building
that houses the supermarket in Mochido Center Street—
a shop where you can enjoy
fresh chocolates infused with Western spirits:
《Barmans Chocolate》
I paid a visit to 😊

The interior has a stylish,
bar-like atmosphere
(apparently, the chocolatier
used to work as a bartender),
and it features both a workshop and a café.

Since they set up booths
at chocolate events in department stores,
some of you might already know them? 😊
Their liqueur-infused fresh chocolates
are perfect as souvenirs or gifts, too! ♪

On this visit, I ordered
the Japanese black tea and
premium chocolate cake set. 😊
The moist chocolate cake,
with its subtle hint of liqueur,
pairs wonderfully with the Japanese black tea. ♪
Even though I’m not very good with alcohol,
I enjoyed the aroma and found it delicious. 😋

For souvenirs, I bought an assortment
of three types of fresh chocolates (three pieces each)
and some butter sandwiches♪
Both are prepared fresh
after you place your order😊
The three types of fresh chocolates let you enjoy
different flavors and aromas,
and the butter sandwiches were delicious too,
so I’ll definitely be going back to buy more😋♪

こんにちは！
本日ご紹介させていただくお店は
バス停“般若寺”を降りてすぐの
《純喫茶シンロク》
さんです😊

こちらのお店は
“奈良監獄ミュージアム”から
歩いて6分ほどの場所にありますので
ミュージアムの帰りに
お邪魔しました😊

少しレトロな雰囲気のお店は
以前は喫茶ミッキーという
多くの人に愛されたお店だったとのこと！
ご存知の方もいるかもしれませんね😊
そのぬくもりを生かした店舗に
こちらも人気のオーシマドーナツが
出会い生まれたおみせです♪

この日はパフェの上にドーナツが乗った
神鹿ドーナツパフェをいただきました♪
上に乗った鹿の飾りが付いたドーナツは
インパクトはもちろんですが
プレーンのふんわり柔らか食感で
先にペロッと食べてしまいました😋
またドーナツ下のクリームは
生クリームではなく
濃厚なグリークヨーグルトで
こちらも美味しかったです♪

もちろんドーナツが人気で
私が居る間にも沢山のお客様が
ドーナツを求めて来店されてました！
私もテイクアウトで
奈良市内にある人気のカレー店
Re:BU10 （リブート）さんとのコラボの
キーマカレードーナツを
購入させていただきました♪
写真に撮り忘れてしまいましたが😅
ドーナツ生地の甘さと
キーマカレーが絶妙で
こちらもリピート確定でした😋

The shop I’d like to introduce today is
“Jun Kissa Shinroku” (),
located right next to the “Hannyaji” bus stop.😊

Since this shop is
about a 6-minute walk from
the “Nara Prison Museum,”
I stopped by on my way back
from the museum.😊

The shop has a slightly retro vibe,
and I heard it used to be “Café Mickey,”
a place loved by many people!
Some of you might even know it😊
This shop was born from a collaboration
between the popular Oshima Donuts
and the café, which has preserved that warm atmosphere♪

On this day, I had the “Divine Deer Donut Parfait,”
which features a donut on top of the parfait♪
The donut on top, decorated with a deer figurine,
was certainly eye-catching,
but with its fluffy, soft plain texture,
I ended up polishing it off first 😋
Also, the cream underneath the donut
wasn’t whipped cream,
but rich Greek yogurt,
which was delicious too ♪

Of course, the donuts are popular,
and even while I was there,
lots of customers came in
looking to buy them!
I also picked up some
Keema Curry Donuts—a collaboration
with the popular curry shop
Re:BU10 (Reboot) in Nara City,
a collaboration with the popular curry shop ♪
I forgot to take a picture, though 😅
The sweetness of the dough
and the keema curry were a perfect match,
so I’ll definitely be coming back for more 😋

本日はオープンしたばかりの
《奈良監獄ミュージアム by 星野リゾート》
さんへ
行ってきましたのでご紹介します😊

ホテル花小路からは
近鉄奈良駅前のバス停2番乗り場から
“奈良監獄ミュージアム前”までの
直通バスがわかりやすく約18分（250円）
青いラッピングバスが目印です♪
通常の奈良交通バスでも
“般若寺バス停”から歩いて約10分です。

赤いレンガの長い塀に囲まれた
奈良監獄ミュージアム。
重要文化財に指定された
旧奈良監獄は近代建築としても
とても見応えのある美しい建築物です。
放射状に広がる舎房のひとつ、
保存棟・第三寮では
当時の面影を見ることができ、
続く展示エリアでは
「建築と歴史」「規律とくらし」「監獄とアート」の
テーマごとの３つの展示が鑑賞できます😊

敷地内にカフェとショップもあり
（こちらはオープンは10:00からです）
食べたかった赤レンガをイメージした
レンガカレーパンは外側カリサクで美味しかったです😋♪
ショップではお土産も購入させていただきました😊

要予約の為今回は入ることができなかった
“中央看守所”はぜひ見たいので
また行きたいと思います！

Today I visited the newly opened
《Nara Prison Museum by HoshinoResorts》
,
so I’d like to share my experience with you 😊

From Hotel Hanakoji,
take the direct bus from Bus Stop No. 2
in front of Kintetsu Nara Station
to “Nara Prison Museum Mae.”
It’s easy to find and takes about 18 minutes (250 yen).
Look for the blue-wrapped bus! ♪
If you take a regular Nara Kotsu bus,
it’s about a 10-minute walk from
the “Hannyaji Bus Stop.”

The Nara Prison Museum
is surrounded by a long red-brick wall.
The former Nara Prison, designated as an Important Cultural Property,
is a beautiful building well worth seeing
as a fine example of modern architecture,
In the preserved section where the buildings spread out in a radial pattern,
you can catch a glimpse of what it looked like back then,
and in the exhibition area that follows,
you can enjoy three themed exhibits😊

There’s also a café and a shop on the grounds
(both open from 10:00 a.m.)
I tried the “Brick Curry Bread,” inspired by the red brick walls—
it was crispy on the outside and delicious! 😋♪
I also picked up some souvenirs at the shop. 😊

Since reservations are required, I wasn’t able to go inside this time,
but I really want to see the “Central Detention Center Tour,”
so I’d love to go back!

ホテル花小路から歩いて約15分。
やすらぎの道を南へ西木辻町に
工房を併設したお店をかまえる
《円直刃物》knives さんへ
お邪魔しました😊

包丁といえば大阪の堺が有名ですが
その包丁の本場、堺で修行された
オーナーが開業されたお店です😊
工房では実際に包丁を研ぐ技を
見せていただくことができ、
包丁に詳しくない私にも
丁寧に説明してくださいました♪

こちらの工房では
オーナー自ら研ぎあげた包丁の販売や、
お家の包丁も研いでくださいます😊
またこの春には
ホテル花小路から歩いて3分ほどの
高天交差点の近くに
販売のみのお店もオープンされました！

日本といえば包丁ということで
海外からのお客様も多く訪れるとのこと。
包丁を購入したい方はもちろん、
興味がある方もぜひ一度
職人が研ぎあげる技をご覧に
訪れてみてはいかがでしょうか😊

Today, I’d like to introduce a shop
located about a 15-minute walk south along Yasuragi-no-Michi
from Hotel Hanakomichi.
It’s a shop with an attached workshop
called “Enjiki Knives”knives.
I paid them a visit! 😊

When it comes to kitchen knives, Sakai in Osaka is famous,
and this shop was opened by an owner
who trained right there in Sakai, the heartland of knife-making. 😊
At the workshop, I was able to watch
the actual knife-sharpening techniques in action,
and they kindly explained everything
even to someone like me who doesn’t know much about knives. ♪

At this workshop,
the owner sells knives he has sharpened himself
and offers sharpening services for your own knives😊
Also, this spring,
they opened a retail-only store
near the Takaten intersection,
about a 3-minute walk from Hotel Hanakomichi!

Since Japan is synonymous with knives,
they reportedly get many visitors from overseas.
Whether you’re looking to buy a knife or
simply curious, why not stop by
to see the craftsman’s sharpening skills in action?😊

カフェラテもとても美味しかったです♪
一緒にお願いした自家製チーズケーキも
しっとりなめらかで私の大好きな
チーズケーキでした😋♪

お店の方もフレンドリーです♪

コーヒーブレイクを楽しみに

but natural light streams in, making it very bright.
With its stylish decor and music playing from vinyl records,
it’s a cozy coffee shop where you can relax and unwind 😊

They roast their own coffee beans here,
and the café latte was absolutely delicious! ♪
The homemade cheesecake I ordered alongside it
was moist and smooth—exactly the kind of cheesecake
I love! 😋♪

The staff are friendly, too! ♪

ホテル花小路から歩いて4分ほど。
三条通りとやすらぎの道の交差点の角
人気アニメ「推しの子」のキャラクター
都道府県コラボの鹿のコスチュームを着た
MEMちょの立て看板が目印ですよ😊
キャラクタービジュアルを使用した
“柿渋のど飴”も販売中ですので
アニメがお好きな方もぜひ♪

白を基調とした店内には
吉野の柿や柿の葉を使用した
羊羹やもなかといった和菓子に、
クッキーやパウンドケーキ
ジャムやバターなど
気になる商品がたくさん並んでます♪

この日は暑かったので
柿プリンと冷たい柿の葉茶、
パンが好きなので柿ジャムと柿バター、
購入させていただきました😊♪
冷凍されている柿プリンは
解凍するとプルプルで
干し柿とミルクプリンが
甘さ控えめで美味しかったです♪
これからの季節
半解凍でも美味しそうです😋
冷たい柿の葉も飲みやすかったですし
一度焼いたパンに柿バターを塗って
二度焼したトーストもハマります♪

a shop specializing in persimmons
that’s popular for its persimmon sweets
made with persimmons from Yoshino, Nara.😊

It’s about a 4-minute walk from Hotel Hanakomichi.
Located on the corner of the intersection
between Sanjo-dori and Yasuragi-no-michi,
look for the MEM-cho standee
wearing a deer costume from the popular anime
“Oshino Ko” as part of a prefecture collaboration—
that’s your landmark!😊
They’re also selling
“Persimmon Tannin Throat Lozenges”
featuring the character designs,
so anime fans should definitely check them out! ♪

Inside the white-themed shop,
you’ll find a wide variety of products
made with Yoshino persimmons and persimmon leaves,
including traditional Japanese sweets like yōkan and monaka,
as well as cookies, pound cakes,
jams, and butter. ♪

It was hot that day,
so I bought some persimmon pudding and cold persimmon leaf tea.
Since I love bread, I also picked up some persimmon jam and persimmon butter. 😊♪
The frozen persimmon pudding
becomes wobbly and jiggly when thawed.
The combination of dried persimmon and milk pudding
was deliciously sweet without being too sugary. ♪
For the coming season,
it looks like it would be delicious even when only partially thawed. 😋
The cold persimmon leaf tea was easy to drink,
and I’m totally hooked on the toast—
spreading persimmon butter on bread that’s been toasted once,
then toasting it a second time. ♪

If you’re looking for souvenirs from Nara,
I highly recommend the persimmon sweets! ♪

奈良のお土産にお勧めの
《総本店柿寿賀》
さんの
“柿寿賀”をご紹介します😊

奈良と言えば柿ですね！
“柿寿賀”とは昔から愛されてる
柚子の甘露煮を干し柿で巻いた
柿の優しい甘さと柚子の香りが
とても上品なお菓子です😊

お茶やコーヒーに合うのはもちろんですが
クリームチーズを乗せて食べると
とても美味しいとのことでお休みの日に
ワインと一緒にいただきましたが
とても美味しくてハマりました😋♪

当日中のお持ち帰りは
常温でも大丈夫とのことですが
なるべく早く冷蔵庫か
冷凍庫で保管してください。
冷凍庫で保管しておくと
綺麗に薄く切れるのでお勧めです😊
出してすぐ食べられますよ♪

お茶請けはもちろん
お酒のオードブルにも
おすすめの“柿寿賀”

about a 10-minute walk from Hotel Hanakomichi.
It’s a great place to pick up souvenirs from Nara:
《Sohonten Kakisuga》
I’d like to introduce ’s
“Kakisuga” 😊

When you think of Nara, you think of persimmons!
“Kakisuga” is a long-loved treat
where candied yuzu is wrapped in dried persimmon.
The gentle sweetness of the persimmon and the fragrance of the yuzu
make for a very elegant confection.😊

It goes perfectly with tea or coffee, of course,
but I heard it’s also delicious with cream cheese on top.
So on my day off,
I enjoyed it with some wine,
and it was so delicious that I’m now hooked!😋♪

For same-day takeout,
it’s fine to keep it at room temperature,
but please store it in the refrigerator
or freezer as soon as possible.
I recommend storing it in the freezer
because it slices beautifully thin that way😊
You can eat it right after taking it out!♪

“Kakijuga” is perfect not only
as a tea snack but also
as an appetizer with drinks.
Why not consider it as a souvenir?😊

本日ご紹介させていただくのは
ホテル花小路のすぐそばの
《Machiya わ Cafe ”壺音洞”（こいんどう）》

駅近とは思えないようなくらい
喧騒から離れ緑のある中庭に
コチコチと時計の音が心地よい
古民家を改装されたカフェです😊
この日はオープンと同時に
お邪魔しましたので
お昼のランチセットをいただきました♪

ランチは壺音洞さん特製おやきの
「おこひるセット」をお願いしました😊
実は“おやき”を食べたことがなかったので
食べたかったんです♪

きんぴらごぼうや里芋などが入った
特製おやきが３つに
ゆずおぼろ豆腐、だし巻き卵、
和え物やお吸い物など
おやきは薄皮の中に
たくさん具が入っていて
どれも優しい味で美味しく
お腹もいっぱいになりました😋

食後のコーヒーに付いてい
手作りクッキーが美味しかったので
帰りにいくつか
購入させていただきました♪

お座敷で脚を伸ばして
ゆっくりくつろげる
とても雰囲気の良い壺音洞さん
ぜひ“おやき”を食べに

Today, I’d like to introduce
“Machiya Wa Cafe ‘Koindou’,”
located right next to Hotel Hanakomichi.

It’s hard to believe it’s so close to the station—
it’s a café renovated from an old Japanese house,
nestled in a green courtyard away from the hustle and bustle,
where the gentle ticking of the clock creates a soothing atmosphere.😊
I stopped by right when they opened
that day,
so I ordered the lunch set.♪

For lunch, I ordered the “Oko-hiru Set,”
which features Koindou’s special oyaki.😊
Actually, I’d never had “oyaki” before,
so I really wanted to try it.♪

The set included three of their special oyaki
filled with ingredients like kinpira burdock and taro,
along with yuzu crumbled tofu, dashimaki tamago,
seasoned vegetables, and clear soup.
The oyaki had thin wrappers
packed with plenty of filling,
and everything had a gentle, delicious flavor—
I was completely full! 😋

The homemade cookies that came with my post-meal coffee
were so delicious
that I bought a few
to take home on my way out♪

Tsunone-dou has a wonderful atmosphere
where you can stretch out your legs
and relax at your leisure in the tatami room.
Why not pay a visit
to try their “oyaki”?😊

本日も新大宮からご紹介😊

近鉄奈良駅のお隣の新大宮から
歩いて15分ほど。
奈良市役所とミ・ナーラの間、
大宮通りから市役所の駐車場側へ
一本北に入った所に
《洋菓子の店　マルキーズ》
さんの
お店があります😊

可愛い店構えの扉を開けると
たくさんの焼き菓子がお出迎え♪
こちらのお店はクッキーなどの
焼き菓子も大人気なんです😊
また正面のケースの中には
色とりどりの可愛いケーキが♪

この日は人気のオランダクッキーと
りんごのパイなどの焼き菓子と
定番人気のパイシュー、
ロールケーキなどケーキを
購入させていただきました😊

パイシューはクリームたっぷりで
食べ応えがありますが
甘さ控えめなので
ぺろっと食べてしまいました😋
またロールケーキの
滑らかなバタークリームも美味しく
外側はカリカリで
味はもちろん食感も楽しめました♪

平城宮跡からの帰り道や、
ミ・ナーラや奈良県コンベンションセンターへ
行かれた時には
ぜひ立ち寄られてみてはいかがでしょうか😊
テイクアウト専門店ですので
ホテルへのお持ち帰りや
お土産にオススメです😊

Today’s feature is from Shin-Omiya again.😊

It’s about a 15-minute walk
from Shin-Omiya station, right next to Kintetsu Nara Station.
Located between Nara City Hall and Mi-Nara,
just one block north of Omiya-dori
toward the city hall parking lot,
you’ll find
《Marquise Patisserie》
😊

Open the door to this charming shop,
and you’ll be greeted by a wide selection of baked goods. ♪
This shop’s baked goods,
like cookies, are incredibly popular.😊
And inside the display case at the front,
you’ll find colorful, adorable cakes♪

On this visit, I bought some baked goods—
including the popular Dutch cookies
and apple pie—
as well as classic favorites like
cream puffs and roll cakes.😊

The cream puffs are packed with cream
and quite filling,
but since they’re not too sweet,
I polished them off in no time.😋
The roll cake’s
smooth buttercream was delicious too,
and with a crispy outer layer,
I enjoyed both the flavor and the texture♪

Why not stop by
on your way back from Heijō Palace Ruins,
or when visiting Mi-Nara
or the Nara Prefectural Convention Center?😊
Since it’s a takeout-only shop,
it’s perfect for bringing back to your hotel
