When guests at Iizukatei Hotel have a hankering for a hamburger, or an urge to try Tochigi Wagyu, the choice is simple: Lighten Up & Switch.
Open for lunch only, Friday~Tuesday, between 11~2.
Take a drive through peaceful rice fields for just twenty minutes, and you’re there. Enjoy!
有形文化財ホテル飯塚邸では、美味しいバーガーや栃木和牛をお召し上がりたいお客様に、「Lighten Up & Switch」をご紹介します。
営業時間は金曜日から火曜日まで、昼11時から2時です。
気持ちの良い田んぼの中をドライブしながら、車で20分で到着します。

Fancy a shopping trip filled with traditional, light, fun and colorful finds during your stay at Iizukatei? Take a look at Washi Kaikan in Karasuyama. Not only will you find a wonderful array of Japanese washi paper products, but the Karasuyama Craft shop is in the same building, and filled with gifts galore.
Just a 20 minute drive away, Washi Kaikan is open every day from 9~5:30 except for Tuesdays.

お車でたったの20分。和紙会館は火曜日を除き、毎日午前9時から午後5時半まで開館しています。

Did you know that you can find one of the top three most beautiful waterfalls in Japan, Fukuroda Falls, just 45 minutes by car from Iizukatei Hotel? In winter it freezes, and right now it is surrounded by beautiful spring green leaves. The most gorgeous time of year to visit the waterfall, however, has to be in fall.
That’s when it’s apple season! You can enjoy apple picking, apple pie, fresh juice and more. After feasting your eyes on the changing leaves around the waterfall, treat yourself to a delicious feast.
Book early to avoid disappointment, as fall is a busy time at the hotel.
有形文化財ホテル飯塚邸から車で45分もかからない場所に、日本三名瀑のひとつ「袋田の滝」がございます。冬には氷結し、現在は新緑に囲まれて非常に美しいですが、特におすすめしたいのは秋です。
というのも、秋はリンゴの季節だからです！リンゴ狩りはもちろん、アップルパイやジュースまで楽しめます。袋田の滝で紅葉を堪能した後には、美味しいものが待っています。
ただし、秋はホテルの人気シーズンですので、ご予約はお早めに！

Oya stone is an igneous rock named after Oya town where it is found, close to Utsunomiya in Tochigi. Because of its colorful, warm texture, fireproof qualities and ease of carving, Oya stone is a versatile rock often used in construction. You can find Oya stone featured throughout Iizukatei Hotel, and also beautifying the local area as walls, storage houses and more.
大谷石は、栃木県の宇都宮近くにある大谷町にちなんで名付けられた火成岩です。カラフルで温かみのある風合い、防火性、そして加工のしやすさから、建築材料として幅広く使われてきました。
飯塚邸ホテルでも大谷石を各所に使用しており、また地域の壁や蔵などにも美しく活かされています。
