It’s finally that time of the year! The perfect season for bike travelers exploring Japan. 🚲 🇯🇵

We’re starting to welcome guest cycling through incredible routes like Shikoku, the Shimanami Kaido, and around Lake Biwa. We’re starting to can’t wait to hear all the stories from the road .

Where are you headed next? If you need any travel recommendations, feel free to ask us!
We also have bikes available for rent a great way to explore Osaka, ride around Osaka Castle and discover the city at your own pace.

暖かくなってきて、自転車で日本を旅してるゲストが増えてきました🚲
みつわ屋にも、チャリ旅で来てくれる方が少しずつ増えてきてます！

最近は四国やしまなみ海道を走ってきた方や、これから向かうという方も多くて、ルートの話で盛り上がることも増えてきました。

長距離を走ってきた話を聞いたり、次の目的地を一緒に考えたり。こういう時間がホステルらしくていいなと感じています。

みつわ屋ではレンタルサイクルもご用意しています🚲
大坂城や中之島エリアなど実は大阪は自転車での観光とすごく相性がいいです！

また、自転車でお越しの方は、レンタルサイクルを置いているスペースに駐輪していたただけます。

【大掃除完了！✨】
1月26日から29日までの4日間、業者さんとMITSUWAYAスタッフ全員で館内を徹底的に大掃除しました！🧹🧼

隅々まで磨き上げ、これまでにないほどピカピカです。
新しいシーズンに向けて、準備は万端！皆さまを最高の状態でお迎えできるのが楽しみで仕方がありません。

新しくなったMITSUWAYAで、皆さまにお会いできるのを楽しみにしています！

We just wrapped up our four days of deep-cleaning 🧹🧼 (Jan 26-29).
With help of expert contractors and our MITSUWAYA staff, the hostel has never looked better! ✨
We’ve scrubbed, polished, prepped every inch of the hostel.

🎍Happy New Year 2026🎍

In February 2026, Mitsuwaya will celebrate its tenth anniversary.

When we first opened in 2016, we did not know much about running a hostel.
All we had was a single guiding idea:
to share the beauty of Japan with travelers from around the world.

As inbound travel grew and more visitors came to Japan,
Mitsuwaya began to welcome guests from every corner of the world.
Little by little, the hostel took shape, and before we knew it,
people began to recognize Mitsuwaya as a special place to stay.

Then came the pandemic, and we had to close our doors
from April 2023 to April 2024.
Looking at the quiet lounge with its lights turned off,
we often wondered if travelers would ever return.
But the messages from guests who said they were waiting for us
gave us the strength to keep going.

In 2025, Osaka came alive again with the World Expo,
and travelers from around the world returned to Mitsuwaya.
Hearing laughter fill the lounge once more
was a moment we will never forget.

Now, in our tenth anniversary year,
we want to express our deepest gratitude
to every traveler who has chosen Mitsuwaya over the years.
We will continue to be a place where people can feel
the warmth and wonder of Japan in a truly genuine way.

2026年2月、みつわ屋はついに10周年を迎えます。

思い返せば、2016年のオープン当初は右も左も分からず、
ただ 「日本の素晴らしさを世界の旅人へ」 という想いだけを胸に、
小さな宿から歩き始めました。

その後「インバウンド」という言葉が広まり、
訪日観光客が急増し、みつわ屋にも世界中の旅人が集まるようになりました。
少しずつ宿として形が整い、気づけば多くの方に選んでいただける存在になっていました。

しかし、コロナの影響で 2022年4月から1年間の休館。
灯りの消えたラウンジを見ながら、
「再び旅人が戻ってくる日は来るのだろうか」と不安が続く日々もありました。
それでも再開を待ってくれた皆さんの声が、私たちを支えてくれました。

2025年には大阪が万博で大きく盛り上がり、
みつわ屋にも久しぶりに世界中の旅人が戻ってきて、
ラウンジが再び笑い声で満たされました。

そして今年、10周年という節目の年。
これまでみつわ屋を選んでくれたすべての旅人に、心から感謝します。
これからも、宿という枠を越えて、
「日本の素晴らしさを世界へ届ける場所」であり続けられるよう、
スタッフ一同心を込めて歩んでいきます。
