r the world to interact, we will try to work not only us but with the local people. As the first step, we are currently constructing CARAVAN (a guesthouse) for inbound at Oshima cho, Tokyo.
【Business background- Two complaints raised】
1. A super aging society that will await in2040 and declining population of Japan
The government stipulates that it is necessary to accept about 800 thousand immigrants every year in order to maintain the Japanese productive age population. At that time, there was a survey result that two points of "Japanese language ability" and"correspondence to Japanese culture" should be emphasized
2. The future of local disappearance
As of 2040, out of about 1800 municipalities, the survey results announced that 243 - 523 municipalities are annihilated and destroyed is high. Based on the above results, we came to the conclusion that "foreigners who like Japan should settle down"
To that end, what we can do as a CARAVAN JAPAN is to give foreigners adapting to Japanese society employment in rural areas (CARAVAN)
By involving children in the area, you will be able to interact with guests from all over the world locally, and overseas-oriented children will increase. Therefore, we will create a flow of the Glocal people by conducting the flow of "region → big city →overseas", overseas intern business
Currently, we are creating CARAVAN in IzuOshima. Renovation of the 80-year-old inn which was a vacant house will be made, making it a place where the people of the community can live and various activities can be done. We involved local high school students, created a guest house department, planning and practicing a tour that feels"unusual" for travelers. In addition, I will perform events for various islanders, including the first public viewing in the island
We will also set up an office in the guesthouse and attract satellite offices in urban companies. The island will be greatly stimulated by advanced corporate people coming to Oshima Town. For corporations as well, it will be a spot where you can taste extraordinary though it is close to 105minutes from Tokyo.
【Vision】
We will use CARAVAN JAPAN as a bridge between local and the world, utilize vacant houses and business succession properties, and we will deploy it nationwide. In addition, within 5 years, we will open overseas branch called “RYOKAN”. Japan is just a starting point, not a main place we work!

わたしたち株式会社 CARAVAN JAPANは、"グローカルのプラットフォームを地域につくる"をモットーに、日本各地の地域に根付くCARAVANを作っていきます。
地域の子どもたちと世界中の旅人が交流するプラットフォームにすべく、地域ぐるみでゲストハウスを共創していきます。
その第一歩として、東京都 大島町でインバウンド向けのCARAVAN(旅館とゲストハウスを融合した施設)を建設予定です。
◆事業背景 – ２つの問題提起
⒈2040年に待ち受ける超高齢化社会と日本の人口減少
政府は日本の生産年齢人口を維持するには、毎年80万人程度の移民の受け入れが必要と明記。その際に「日本語能力」と「日本文化への対応」の２点を重要視するべきという調査結果がでた。
⒉「地方消滅」という未来
2040年時点で、約1800自治体の内、243〜523自治体が消滅可能性が高いとの調査結果を発表。村や町という表記がなくなるとの見方も。
上記の結果を踏まえて、わたしたちは
地方に日本人よりも日本が好きな外国人を定住させるべきという結論に至りました。
そのためにCARAVAN JAPANとしてできることが
「日本社会に対応した外国人に地方( CARAVAN)での雇用を与えること」です。
また地域の子どもたちを巻き込んでいくことにより、島内で世界中のゲストと交流でき、海外志向の子どもたちが増えたら幸いです。
空き家だった築80年の旅館を改修し、地域の方々の拠り所や様々なアクティビティーができる場所にします。
また学生の選択肢の一つとしてゲストハウス部を作り、旅行者向けに"非日常”を感じるようなツアーを企画し実践。また島内初のパブリックビューイングなど様々な島民向けのイベントを行います。
またゲストハウス内にシェアオフィスを設け、都会の企業のサテライトオフィスを誘致します。
都会の喧騒を離れ、大島の大自然の素晴らしさを感じながら仕事をすることができたら最高でしょう！！！

わたしたち CARAVAN JAPANが、地方（ローカル）と世界（グローバル）を繋げる架け橋になるべく、空き家や事業継承希望物件を活用し、全国へ展開して参ります。また５年以内に海外インターン派遣事業とCARAVAN JAPANの海外支店"RYOKAN"をオープンさせ、さらなるグローカルの流れを創っていきます！！
