🌊 Ocean Views from Every Room: A Relaxing Stay at Kaike Onsen

Set right along Kaike Onsen Beach, Kaike Seaside Hotel combines the comfort of a modern hotel with the simple pleasure of a Japanese hot spring stay. ♨️✨

Every guest room faces the sea, so the ocean is never far away. Wake up to calm coastal views, listen to the waves from your room, then unwind in natural hot spring waters by the shore.

One feature that makes this hotel especially welcoming is its single-room option, something not often found at traditional hot spring inns. Whether you are traveling with family, friends, or on your own, it is an easy place to slow down and recharge. 🌊😊

After unwinding in the hot spring, continue the experience over a meal featuring plenty of fresh, local Tottori ingredients. It is a simple way to enjoy the region not only through its scenery and onsen, but also through its seasonal flavors. ♨️🌿

🌾 Meet Toyama’s 300-Year-Old Festival — A Journey Beyond Japan’s Familiar Sights

On September 1 & 2, discover Owara Kaze no Bon, one of Toyama’s most distinctive early-autumn traditions, on a private journey from Kanazawa with your own English-speaking guide and vehicle.

Unlike Japan’s high-energy summer festivals, Owara Kaze no Bon has a beauty all its own—graceful, atmospheric, and deeply rooted in more than 300 years of local tradition.

As evening settles over the hillside town of Yao, dancers in deep-brimmed straw hats move gracefully through the streets to the wistful sounds of the kokyu and shamisen. Each of Yao’s 11 neighborhoods has its own costumes and dance style, giving every performance a character of its own. 👘🎶

The journey also takes you to Nousaku, a historic Takaoka copperware shop. Tour the workshop before taking part in a hands-on chopstick-rest making experience (approx. 30 minutes), where you’ll create a small piece of Toyama craftsmanship to take home. 🔨✨

And with private transportation and a dedicated English-speaking guide throughout the journey, you can simply settle in and enjoy this special evening from Kanazawa—without worrying about getting around on your own.

🍐 Pear Season Is Here in Tottori!
When late August arrives, so does one of Tottori’s most beloved local flavors: pear season.
Pears are more than just a local fruit here—they are one of Tottori’s signature specialties and a true source of local pride. From the refreshing Nijisseiki (20th Century) Pear, cultivated in the region for over a century, to the Shinkansen Pear, a variety born in Tottori, each one offers a different taste of the prefecture. ✨

At Sankōen Pear Orchard, just a 5-minute drive from the Tottori Sand Dunes, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat pear picking with no time limit. 😆✨
Choose the pear that catches your eye, pick it straight from the tree, and enjoy that first crisp, juicy bite at its freshest. 🌳🍐

If you’re visiting Tottori in late summer, don’t miss the chance to taste and compare the fruit that locals have proudly grown and loved for generations.

🌳Sankōen Pear Orchard
Address: 1973 Yuyama, Fukube-chō, Tottori City, Tottori Prefecture

Hello, August! 🌻🍧 Summer is finally in full swing😎
☀️ Sunflowers are in full bloom, festival season is at its peak, and summer traditions begin to take over the evenings.

🎆 Fireworks festivals are a big part of August nights.
The deep boom of fireworks, bursts of color across the sky, and rows of festival stalls create an atmosphere that feels unmistakably Japanese.
Put on a yukata, wander between colorful food stalls, cool down with a cup of shaved ice, and wait for that first boom to light up the sky. 👘🍧🏮

By mid-August, Obon season arrives—a time traditionally associated with welcoming and honoring ancestors. It is also the season of Bon Odori, when communities across Japan gather to dance together to traditional music. 🎶🏮

And if you want to feel that energy at its fullest, there’s Awa Odori in Tokushima. Dancers fill the streets, music moves through the crowds, and before long, it is easy to feel yourself being drawn into the celebration. 💃🕺✨

Fireworks overhead.
Lanterns glowing in the streets.
The rhythm of festival drums.

This is August in Japan. 🎐🎇
Stay cool, enjoy the festivities, and take in every little moment of summer along the way. 💗🇯🇵

🌸 Yamagata Hanagasa Festival 🌸
Do you know about the traditional summer festival that represents Yamagata and brightens up the Japanese summer? ✨
Held every year on August 5th, 6th, and 7th in the heart of Yamagata City, the "Yamagata Hanagasa Festival" is a spectacular sight!
Dancers dressed in colorful costumes parade beautifully through the city streets, holding gorgeous "Hanagasa" (flower hats) adorned with safflower motifs.

The elegant choreography, powerful movements, and the melodies of the Hanagasa Ondo folk song echoing through the venue will captivate even first-time visitors. 😊
The magical scenery illuminating the night city holds a moving beauty that photos and videos simply cannot fully capture.

Why not come and experience the charm of a Japanese summer festival firsthand—a traditional culture carefully passed down by the local community? 🎐
The best part of the Hanagasa Festival is that anyone can join in on the spot, allowing both locals and travelers to share the fun together!
Come to Yamagata to create special memories that will stay in your heart forever! 🌿✨
