A Spatial Experience Where Color MovesYuko Nishikawa “Chromonaut”

An installation by New York–based artist Yuko Nishikawa, Chromonaut, is on display in the main lounge of TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREET, with works also available for purchase.

Reconstructed from photography backdrop paper, these sculptural forms respond to the flow of air created by people’s movement, gently swaying within the lounge. Colors and shapes that carry the memory of their materials create a new spatial experience.

色が揺れる空間体験Yuko Nishikawa『Chromonaut』NYを拠点に活動するアーティスト西川裕子氏によるインスタレーション『Chromonaut』を、TRUNK(HOTEL) CAT STREETのメインラウンジにて展示中。あわせて作品の販売も行っています。写真撮影の背景紙を再構成した色彩のフォルムが、人の動きによって生まれる空気の流れに反応し、
ラウンジ空間の中でゆっくりと揺れ動きます。素材の記憶を宿した色と形が、新たな空間体験を生み出します。
