RetroSasazuka (aka Casa Japonesque) is a friendly and clean shared house in central Tokyo, just a short walk from Sasazuka station, and is one stop from Shinjuku. Situated in Shibuya City close to Shinjuku and Shibuya, this stylish 2-storey boutique house features a fusion of European comfort and traditional Japanese culture and life style. The Sharehouse has 9 private comfortable bedrooms, single

or double occupancy. All private bedrooms have a regular 6 tatami size (3.5m by 2.6m) and are fully furnished. Standard facilities include mattress, writing/computer desk with a chair, shelving unit, nightstand, air conditioner/heater, and a spacious traditional built-in storage (oshiire) with sliding doors (fusuma). The room can accommodate up to two persons. Each room is individually designed according to a theme, and is decorated with original photography and traditional Japanese fabrics and artifacts. The house features a range of shared facilities:
- library with computers, TV, video- and audio systems, and a large collection of Japanese and English books and DVDs;
- kitchen/dining room (studio-type) with gas stove, microwave, toaster/oven, food containers, and refrigerators;
- drying room with drying racks to hang the clothes;
- bathrooms with toilets on each floor;
- walk-in shower room with two shower heads;
- spacious top-floor loggia with tables and chairs to rest and relax;
- café-style terrace with direct access from the dining room. Utilities and services
- high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the house including the loggia and the terrace;
- washing machine and detergent;
- weekly cleaning of communal(shared) areas. Transportation
RetroSasazuka is a short 1-minute walk from Sasazuka subway station. Two subway lines provide fast and convenient access to such attraction areas as Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku, Roppongi, Shimokitazawa and others. Keio Line takes you in just one stop to Shinjuku, Tokyo’s major shopping, entertainment, and transportation center. Keio New Line cuts across the city to the East End via the Imperial Palace and Imperial Gardens.
