約1,500株のあじさいが境内を囲む、「法雨山大慈寺」。
お寺の周辺一面に咲くあじさいは、この季節ならではの美しい風物詩で、「あじさい寺」として親しまれています
見頃は5月下旬から6月中旬。
梅雨空のもと、新緑に映える色とりどりのあじさいに癒されて。

Houuzan Daijiji Temple is surrounded by around 1,500 hydrangea bushes that bloom across its grounds.
The hydrangeas carpeting the temple and its surroundings create a beautiful seasonal scene, earning it the affectionate nickname of the “Hydrangea Temple.”

The best time to visit is from late May to mid-June.
Under the rainy-season sky, the colourful blooms set against fresh greenery create a peaceful early-summer landscape that feels especially soothing during Japan’s rainy season.

“STOP BY JOE” is a café reborn from a renovated pearl shop at the foot of Daiozaki Lighthouse. Surrounded by stylish interiors, you can enjoy a menu featuring locally caught bonito burgers and meat pasta, Ise jidori butter chicken curry, as well as carefully brewed coffee and sweets. From the second-floor seating, take in the scenic views overlooking the fishing port. It’s the perfect spot to drop by during your travels.
