Welcome to the weekly update for Shimoda Beach Holiday Houses.

This superb weather keeps continuing and pretty soon the sand will be too hot to run on! Hot days, light winds, cool nights, fresh spring vegetables and no crowds on the roads or the beaches. The fireflies even came out while we cooked our BBQ at night. We truly wish this season would last forever. Check out the photos from last weekend!

In June, July and August we only have a little bit of vacancy at the 3LK and 5LK, but not much. So please contact us if you would like more information, or check out the airbnb website. If our place is full we can also recommend other houses available in the area at various prices.

おかげさまでGolden Weekには両別訴とも予約いっぱいですけれども、その後の5月は少し空きがまだ残っています。
この夏は下田で楽しみましょう！

Always wanted to learn to surf? Why not try in Shimoda this summer!? Shimoda has warm water and gentle waves all summer long, perfect for learning to surf. Japanese surfing legend Naoto Suzuki runs Surf Shop reaL near Ohama "Big" Beach and is ready to hear from you.

If you can't live without your daily quota of German-style, sourdough or multi-grain breads, or prefer perfect warm croissants dipped in rich coffee, Barn is going to be your saviour during your stay in Shimoda. They have their own wood-fired brick oven and bake daily apart from Thursday when they are closed. If you get there when they open at 9:30 your bread will still be warm! We highly recommend the cinnamon rolls and walnut raisin buns. Everything can be either eaten on site with a cup of coffee or taken home for the family. They are a bit tough to find as you need to take a sharp left up the hill near "Cliff Side Hotel" just off the 135 before you get to Shirahama.
