A heartwarming encounter with guests from India! 🇮🇳✨

They shared wonderful stories about their home country, and we had a relaxing talk time in the evening. They even let us try a local snack/cake called "Makai Vada"—it was surprisingly spicy and so delicious! 😋🌶️

When they checked out, they left us a beautiful handmade gift and a heartwarming letter written carefully in Japanese. It made us so happy!

We hope they enjoyed their time in Japan, and we truly hope to see them again someday. Safe travels! 🌏👋

インドから素敵なゲストさんが泊まりに来てくれました！🇮🇳✨

夜のコモンルームでは、インドの現地のお話をたくさん聞かせてくれて、みんなでまったり楽しいトークタイム。
さらに、持ってきてくれた現地の伝統的なお菓子「Makai Vada」をおすそ分けしてくれました！ケーキのような見た目ですが、食べるとスパイシーで奥深い味わい！新鮮な美味しさにみんなで大盛り上がりでした😋🌶️

そしてチェックアウトの時には、可愛いプレゼントと、一生懸命日本語で書いてくれた心温まるお手紙が残されていました。スタッフ一同、嬉しさで胸がいっぱいです…！

日本の旅を楽しんでもらえていたら嬉しいな。
またいつか笑顔で再会できる日を、楽しみに待っています！お気をつけて！🌏👋

A fun little neighborhood walk with our guest from Italy! 🇮🇹

He loves his hometown so much and is such a great talker—it felt like he was guiding us instead of the other way around! 😂

While exploring the narrow streets, we stopped by an old water pump and had a lovely chat with a neighbor, who explained how we still use it today to water plants and cool down the streets. It was such a heartwarming local interaction.

He mentioned he might come back to stay with us again soon. We can't wait to see him again! 👋⛩️

ゲストさんと一緒に、品川宿のぷち街歩きをしました！

イタリアから来てくれた彼は、とっても故郷愛が強くておしゃべり上手。私たちが街を案内しているつもりが、気づけばこちらが案内されているような不思議な感覚になり、笑いが絶えませんでした！😂

路地裏の古い井戸ポンプのところでは、通りかかったご近所さんとの素敵なセッションも。「今は植物の水やりや、夏の打ち水に使うんだよ〜」と教えてもらい、下町ならではの温かいプチ交流ができました。

また近いうちに泊まりに戻ってきてくれるかも、とのこと。また元気にお会いできる日を今から楽しみにしています！😊🚶‍♂️

Crepe & Galette Night! 🇫🇷🥞✨

We had an amazing evening making traditional French savory "Galettes" with cheese, ham, and egg, as well as sweet dessert crepes, thanks to our friend from France! It was the perfect night of casual cooking and great conversations.

The common room was packed with first-time visitors, guests, neighbors, friends, and even our former staff! Thank you everyone for making it such a lively and fun night. Stay tuned for the next one! 🥳🌛

【クレープパーティー開催！🥳🥞✨】
フランス出身の方と一緒に、みんなでクレープ＆ガレットを作りました！

今回は、チーズ・ハム・卵を使ったフランスの定番「ガレット」🌮と、甘いデザート「クレープ」🍓の豪華2種類をご用意。
みんなでわいわい料理をしながら、ゆるくおしゃべりをして最高の夜を過ごしました🌛

初めましての方をはじめ、滞在中のゲストさん、ご近所さん、スタッフの友人、建物を飛び越えて元スタッフまでぞろぞろと集まってくれて、コモンルームは大盛り上がり！

美味しい料理を囲むと、自然と笑顔と会話が生まれますね😊
大成功に終わったクレープナイト。これは次回の手作りイベントにも期待大！？

スタッフのおいちゃんが、5月31日(日)に開催される「第3回 シナガワたがやすかいぎ」にメインキャストとして登壇することになりました！🌟

トークテーマは『世界的大型テーマパークの世界で創る世界平和』。

現在、とある海外派遣プログラムに向けて試験準備を続けているおいちゃん。“夢を語り、応援し合うコミュニティ”であるこの場所で、自身の挑戦や経験、そしてなぜ“世界平和”というテーマに辿り着いたのかを自分の言葉でお届けします。

Big news! Our staff member, Oi-chan, will be the main speaker at the 3rd "Shinagawa Tagayasu Kaigi" on May 31st! 🌟

The theme of her talk is "Creating World Peace through the World of Major Global Theme Parks." She is currently preparing for an overseas dispatch program, and she will share her journey, her dreams, and why she joined Shukuba JAPAN. Please come and support her! 😊

A wonderful connection between creators at our hostel! 🎨✨

Two Design Festa exhibitors—one a tile artist and the other an animal illustrator—stayed with us and met in our common room!

We are so happy that our hostel could be a place where creative people can connect and meet each other. 😊

デザインフェスタ（Design Festa）への出店のために当宿に宿泊してくださった、タイルアートの作家さんと動物イラストの作家さん。宿での滞在を通じて、とっても素敵な出会いが生まれました！

同じイベントを目指すクリエイターさん同士が、こうして宿で繋がり合えるのは本当に嬉しいことです😊

A regular guest brought us a famous snack from the Hokuriku region called "Beaver"! 🦫🌾

We all enjoyed munching on this crispy, savory rice cracker together in the common room. It tastes amazing as always!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful souvenir and for always coming back to see us! 😊✨

いつも遊びに来てくれるリピーターさんが、北陸の定番お菓子「ビーバー」をお土産に持ってきてくれました！🦫🌾

今回はB.LEAGUEコラボパッケージ！みんなでコモンルームでボリボリと美味しくいただきました。

サクサクの食感と絶妙な塩気が、やっぱり安定のうまさです。
いつも素敵な差し入れと、楽しい時間をありがとうございます！またいつでも帰ってきてくださいね😊✨

Safe travels to our long-term guest from the US! 🇺🇸✈️

He finally checked out to head back home. Looking back, we shared so many amazing memories together—playing Shogi, holding a mini origami workshop, and making waffles for breakfast! Thank you for the wonderful times. 😊

Next time you come back to Japan, we’ll be waiting for you here in Shinagawa, and also at our sister hostel "Guest House Kura" in Suzaka, Nagano! Have a safe flight back home! 👋🇯🇵

長期滞在してくれたアメリカのゲストさんが、いよいよ帰国の途につくため出発！🇺🇸✈️

最後に笑顔の記念写真をパシャリ。
振り返ると、一緒に将棋を指して真剣勝負をしたり、黙々とユニークな折り紙を作ったり、週末の朝にワッフルを焼いて食べたり……コモンルームでたくさんの楽しい思い出を共有させてもらいました。本当にありがとう！😊

また日本に旅しに来る時は、ここ品川宿と、長野県須坂市にある姉妹宿「ゲストハウス蔵」で、みんなでいつでも待っています！

New encounters and a heartwarming reunion! 📸✨

We took a photo with our long-term guest from the US and a wonderful returning guest who first stayed with us 6 years ago! We even found an old photo from their stay back then—looking at it, we couldn't help but think how young we all looked! 😂

We are so grateful for both new connections and nostalgic reunions. Wishing everyone health and happiness until we meet again. We’ll be waiting for your return! 👋🌏
