Sophiearth’s Meaning - People Who Loves the Earth
The word 'sophiearth' is the synthesis of the words, 'sophia' and 'earth',
implying someone who knows and cares about culture, fashion and other socially
important matters for the earth. It is a place where people can get together and
communicate each other, without any discrimination in regards to race, s*x, nationality,
religion, job, and age. At

2. The Great Location - Shinjuku, Tokyo
Sophiearth Hostel is located in Shinjuku, the center of Tokyo, providing an easy access
to many tour sites. By train, 30 minutes to Odaiba or Asakusa, 50 minutes to Disney Land. Though being seated in a quiet residential area, minutes of walking will lead you to
mouth watering korean/chinese/japanese restaurants. Within few minutes walk, there exist
ATMs, convenient stores, drug stores, and supermarkets etc. Major subway stations are very near to the hostel; Higashi Shinjuku metro station: 260 m,
JR Shin Okubo station: 700 m, Shinjuku Station: 1.5 Km. The hostel is only 10 minute walk away from the Shinjuku busy streets (Kabukicho, Don Quixote, Isetan,

Sophiearth Hostel was remodelled in mid of December, 2014. It was designed with many
thoughts to provide neat accommodation at a reasonable price.
4. Bar Lounge
There exists a bar lounge at the front of the hostel. It is designed in such a way that
guests from many countries can get together and communicate each other, without any
discrimination in regards to race, s*x, nationality, religion, job, and age. Exchanging
tour information among guest is a good merit, too.
5. Women's Dress / Cosmetic Room
We arranged a room for women so that they can change their clothes and fix their
makeup.
6. Cheaper Rate if Double Bed Is Shared
All of our rooms can be reserved for a group or a family. In this case, further savings
can be achieved by sharing a double bed by two persons.
7. Private Rooms
We have private rooms for a single person, or a group, or a family.
8. Dormitory Rooms at A Cheap Rate
You can reserve a bed in a dormitory room, enabling a cheap rate. Thus, you have to
share the room with other guests. However, in some senses, it is a good place to exchange
tour information and make friends.
