玄関の廊下は家の「顔」。そう言われますが、正直アトゥイの「顔」の広さに圧倒されていました…😅🖌️
この巨大な壁を前にしたとき、一人で塗りきれるのか途方に暮れました。20kgもある重い漆喰の袋を運び、朝8時から夕方5時までみっちりタスクをこなす日々。それでも終わらない日もたくさんあって何度も心が折れそうになりました。
でも、ゲストが玄関を開けた瞬間に「帰ってきた」とホッとするような、明るく温かい空間にしたい。その一心で、脚立に登っては降り、隅々まで丁寧に漆喰を塗り込みました。
ようやく、皆さまを最高の笑顔でお迎えできる準備が整いました。この壁の裏側にある奮闘記、ぜひ最後までご覧ください！

未来のために種をまく（苗を植える！）こと。それも、白老ヴィラ・アトゥイの大切な暮らしの一部です。🌿🫐
Sustainability is all about planting seeds for the future—sometimes literally! 🌿🫐

白老といえば白老牛ですが、いま町には新しい「紫の宝石」が根付いています。それが**「カシス（黒すぐり）」**です。
2025年7月、愛泉園（あいせんえん）でのカシス狩りに参加してきました。このカシスを新しい特産品にする取り組みとして、イベントでは苗木のプレゼントもあり、私もShiraoi Villa Atuyの庭に大切に植えました。私の苗が実をつけるまでにはあと2年ほどかかりますが、町のカシスは今まさに収穫時を迎えています。
今回は収穫したばかりのカシスを使って、自家製ジャムを作ってみました！🥄 7月に滞在されるゲストの方は、町内のイベントに参加して自分でカシスを収穫し、ヴィラのキッチンでジャム作りを体験することもできます。
北海道での長期滞在中に味わう、贅沢な「ファーム・トゥ・テーブル」のひととき。白老ならではのスローライフを、ぜひ体感しに来てください。

Shiraoi is famous for its beef, but there is a new "purple gem" taking root in our town: Cassis (Blackcurrant). 🫐✨
In July 2025, I joined the annual harvest event at Aisen-en (愛泉園). This fruit is becoming a true local specialty, and the town even gifted visitors baby saplings to plant at home! I’ve officially planted mine in front of Shiraoi Villa Atuy. While it will take two years for my little plant to bear fruit, the local harvest is already plentiful.
I used this year's harvest to make a batch of fresh, tart cassis jam! 🥄 For guests visiting us in July, you can join the local festival, harvest your own berries, and even try making your own preserves in our villa kitch
