Design for a two-storey timber building to be annexed to an obstetrics and gynaecology hospital in Kamagaya City, Chiba Prefecture.
The layout comprises a restaurant for patients on the ground floor, with open-plan offices for doctors and an on-call room on the first floor.
By being entrusted with the architectural design from the very start of construction, rather than just the interior, we were able to meticulously adjust everything down to the positioning of columns and the arrangement of beams. This allowed us to integrate the structural framework itself into the design, rather than treating the interior and building as separate entities.
It was a truly wonderful experience, full of learning, surprises, and enjoyment!
初めての木造建築案件。
千葉県鎌ヶ谷市の産婦人科病院に併設することになった木造2階建てのデザイン。
一階が患者様用のレストラン、2階が先生方のフリーオフィスと当直室という構成となっています。
内装だけではなく、建てるところから意匠設計担当させていただくことで、柱の位置や梁の組み方まで綿密に調整することでき、内装と建築物を切り分けることなく、構造体自体を意匠の一部にすることができたかなと。
学びあり、驚きあり、楽しくもあり、とても素敵な経験をさせていただきました！
