身近な人たちを大切に

昨夜、ムレスズメのデッキで、
小さなライブを開催しました。

タクジさんが「距離を大事に活動している」と話していたように、
今回は私たちがいつもお世話になっている方や、
ご近所さん、身近な人たちをお誘いして。

音楽を聴きながら、
それぞれが思い思いに過ごす夜。

子どもたちも、大人たちも、
いつもの顔ぶれが同じ場所に集まって、
なんだかとても心地よい時間でした。

遠くの誰かに届けることも大切だけれど、
まずは、自分たちのすぐそばにいる人たちを大切にする。

そんなことを改めて感じた、
ムレスズメの夏の夜でした。

Every year, we make a point of going to see Awa Odori.

This year, we were lucky enough to enjoy it from the reserved seating area, taking our time and soaking up the atmosphere.

From Muresuzume to Tokushima, it’s about an hour by car.
Even if we leave in the evening, we can enjoy Awa Odori and still make it home the same night.

A summer evening, the warm air, and the rhythm of Awa Odori.
One of our favorite ways to spend summer in Kagawa.

今年は桟敷席で、ゆっくりと楽しむことができました。

ムレスズメから徳島までは、車で約1時間。
夕方から出かけても、阿波踊りを楽しんで、その日のうちに帰ってくることができます。

Just an hour’s drive from our home,
there is a river where we love to escape on hot summer days.

Cool water, the sound of the river,
shade beneath the trees,
and a little adventure waiting on the rocks.

Before the jump, there is always that moment of hesitation.
A little fear.
A little doubt.

And then, they take a breath
and find the courage to jump.

Sometimes, all it takes is
a little courage to take that first step.

This month, we’ve had a number of guests visiting from France.

It often happens that guests who have stayed with us before recommend Muresuzume to friends or fellow travelers, who then choose our home for their own journey.

Knowing that someone, somewhere, has shared a simple

As the heat of the day slowly fades,
a gentle breeze moves through the garden.

One by one, the lights come on,
and the evening begins to unfold quietly.

Nothing special is needed.
Just being here seems to make
time move a little slower.

An evening ritual in summer.

Even though the temperature climbs above 35°C (95°F) every day,
a gentle breeze flows through Muresuzume from morning until evening.

As the day cools, we give the garden a generous drink of water.

The sound of the wind through the leaves and water soaking into the earth reminds us to slow down.

A quiet moment to care for the garden, and to prepare for another beautiful day tomorrow.

夏の夕暮れは、水やりの時間。

毎日35度を超える暑さが続いていますが、
ムレスズメは一日を通して心地よい風が吹き抜け、
夕方になると、空気がすっとやわらぎます。

一日の終わりに、庭いっぱいの植物へたっぷりと水を。

葉を揺らす風の音と、水が土に染み込む音。
