福田屋がある今津は、日本海からの荷を京都・大阪へ運ぶ港として、長く栄えた宿場町です。往時には旧街道沿いに多くの旅籠や商店が立ち並び、なかでも立派な店構えを誇っていたとされる福田屋。その福田屋を譲り受け、時代が移り変わった今もなお、少し姿を変えながら旅人をお迎えしております。

Imazu, where our inn Fukudaya is located, flourished for centuries as a post town where cargo from the Sea of Japan was transported to Kyoto and Osaka. In its heyday, the highway was lined with numerous inns and shops, of which Fukudaya was a renowned establishment. Having inherited this, we continue to welcome travelers today, even as times have changed.

一棟貸切の福田屋では時間帯によって思い思いの場所でお寛ぎいただけたらと思います。階段を上がった直ぐの小さなデスクには、窓から柔らかな光が差し込んできます。読書や考え事をするさいにお勧めです。
