【夏越の大祓】

7月30日は、当宿からほど近い川島神社では夏越の大祓の神事がありました

伝統的な神事で、半年間の心身の穢れを祓い、残り半年の無病息災を祈願するものです

驚くほどの暑い夏を無事に乗り切って、残り半年も穏やかに過ごせますように家族でお願いしてきました

[Nagoshi no Oharae]

On July 30, a Shinto ritual called the Nagoshi no Oharae was held at Kawashima Shrine, which is not far from our inn

It is a traditional Shinto ritual to cleanse the impurities from the body and mind accumulated over the past six months and to pray for good health and safety for the remaining half of the year

Our family were grateful to have made it safely until today, and even prayed that we could get through the unbelievable hot summer safely, and that we could spend the remaining half of the year peacefully as well.

唯一の2階のお部屋となります

このお部屋は、春になると北の窓から満開の桜を、そして南の窓からは阿波富士と呼ばれている高越山（こおつざん）を見ることができます
たくさんの窓から自然光をふんだんに取り入れることができるとても明るいお部屋となっております

"Sakura"（桜） is cherry blossom.

This room is a ten-tatami-mat room.
This is the only room on the second floor

In this room, you can see cherry blossoms in full bloom from the northern window in spring, and in the southern window, you can see Mt. Kotsuzan（高越山）, which is called Awa-fuji（阿波富士）
It is a very bright room where you can get plenty of natural light from many windows

"Sugi" （杉） is Japanese cedar.

This room is a six-tatami-mat Japanese-style room.
This room has "Toko no ma"（床の間）. It is a decorative alcove in a traditional Japanese room

The room is made of plenty of cedar trees from Tokushima Prefecture and has a calm atmosphere with warm wood and low lighting.
