Ski in/out Private Onsen Hotel Koizumiya こいずみや

All booking is done on AirBNB. Minimum 2 nights. Koizumiya is located right at the bottom of the Nunoba lift with easy access from the Yuzawa Joetsu Shinkansen station. It is equipped with a real onsen hot spring bath and has a large kitchen dining area overlooking the mountain. The first floor has two private onsen baths and the parking for one car. There is also a large indoor parking lot five m

inutes from the house if you have more cars. The second floor has a large kitchen/dining area overlooking Nunoba Ski Area. There is also a large kitchen area and two bedrooms. The second floor master bed room has a king size bed with small sofa bed that can sleep two small children. A smaller bedroom on the second floor has either a king size bed or two singles. The third and fourth floors each have seven tatami mat rooms with Japanese futon, except for two rooms on the third floor have a comfortable queen size sofa / sofa bed. Kerosene heaters in the main living / dining / kitchen area as well as the master bedroom are all hard wired and vent outside (no refueling/no smell). Other rooms use standard Japanese kerosene heaters which need to be manually refueled (we have a large tank to refuel from). Guest Access

You and your group get access to the entire house. In the rare case that I am at the home, my family and I will be on the third or fourth floor and you will not see or hear us! (see below for more info)

Echigo Yuzawa is only a little more than an hour away from Tokyo on the Shinkansen and is famous for deep snow. The ski resorts around the lodge are all good, but the real powder-hounds and backcountry fans should just go to Kagura/Mitsumata Ski Resort, which has some of the best powder backcountry skiing Japan has to offer. It's just 15 minutes away by car and you can also catch a bus from the station right to the Kagura gondola. Getting around

The house is located 1.2 kilometers from Yuzawa Station on the Joetsu Shinkansen (bullet train) line. From the house and station there is ample bus transportation available to nearby ski areas and the downtown area. You can also easily rent a car right from Yuzawa Station (reservation highly recommended...search online for "Toyota Rental Car Echigo-Yuzawa Sta. Branch" and you'll find a place in English). It's a fifteen minute (1.2 kilometer) walk to the station from the house and there are lots of restaurants along the road. There is parking for one car at the house. Other Things to Note

Very occasionally my family may be on another floor of the house (the top two floors each have seven rooms). These times, your group will have one floor of the lodge as your private space and will of course have full use of the first and second floors (onsen bath / kitchen & dining / bedrooms). House Rules
You are expected to leave the house in the same condition that you found it...clean! We have a cleaning service that washes one set of sheets and towels for each visitor and prepares the bedding. They also vacuum the floors and make sure the basics like salt, pepper, tea and coffee are available. If extra cleaning is required after your stay (for example if you use extra bed sheets and or towels), you may be charged a cleaning fee from your deposit. There is no charge for using extra towels or sheets if you wash, dry and fold them yourself (there is a washer and dryer at the house). Please smoke outside on the balcony of the second floor or on the roof.
