Relax in wildlife sanctuary

In just 30 min from the airport, or 36 km from Nairobi, escape the city hustle and bustle... A beautiful, unspoilt, peaceful piece of wild Africa is just down the road. Swara Acacia Lodge nestles among old acacia trees with exclusive access to 20,000 acres of wildlife conservancy.

Unknown to many the ranch hosts a resident population of over 3000 game animals, over 320 species of birds and 8 dams waiting to be explored! Both Mt. Kenya, 100 miles to the north and Kilimanjaro to the south are visible from the ranch.

The rustic bandas are comfortable and offering a true bush experience. The dams are stocked and visitors can try their luck at fishing, or settle with a toast to the magnificent scenery with a sundowner. Besides game viewing (including evening drives) there are plenty of things to do... take a bike ride, swim, go on a walk, do yoga, play ball games with our entertainer on site... or put your feet up and relax with a glass of wine, good book or your online news (free internet is available on site).

We can organise your mini safari drive with one of the rangers or you can go for a walk, a bike ride or drive your own car (there is 100km of roads and paths on the ranch). There is plenty to see, from giraffe which you cannot miss, to zebras, warthogs and their babies, to hyenas, cheetahs, antelopes and over 300 species of birds. You can also go fishing in one of the 8 dams on the property.
