When Fatherhood Becomes A Negotiation.

A father, a son, a new partner and the long road of learning when to fight, when to bend and when simply to remain. I have always jokingly confessed that I am a two-star general. Not in the artillery department, but in another department where the medals are awarded rather differently. What adversity, loss and healing taught me about letting go. People who know me sometimes wonder how I remain such a happy soul, seemingly unbothered by people, situations and the little dramas that life likes to serve with a side of confusion. These days, I mostly just do what makes me happy. I enjoy my quiet time indoors, read books, cook a little, host friends when the mood takes me, listen to my music, talk to my plants as though they are paying rent, and occasionally step out and enjoy good company....
