One of the things we love most about Entumoto is also one of our biggest challenges: we’re far from everything.

Every bush breakfast, every packed lunch and every dinner served at camp takes planning, teamwork and a lot of hard work behind the scenes.

While guests are out enjoying the Mara, our kitchen team is already preparing the next meal. Ingredients have been ordered, supplies delivered, produce harvested from the shamba and meals carefully planned so that guests can enjoy fresh food in one of the most remote and beautiful places in Kenya.

This post is for the people who make that happen every day.

At Entumoto Safari Camp, the safari experience just got even better.

New safari tracks now open up access to a secluded and previously unexplored corner of the giving our guests the opportunity to venture deeper into the wilderness and discover landscapes few have seen before. We’ve also created a new waterhole that is already attracting wildlife and is expected to increase animal activity and sightings throughout the year.

Meet Abraham — one of the very first to join Entumoto.
Growing up in the Mara, his understanding of the land comes naturally. Years of experience have shaped him into a guide who is calm, grounded, and incredibly observant.
He’s also a Maasai medicine man, with deep knowledge of the plants and traditions of the bush. Nothing feels rushed with Abraham — he reads the landscape with ease and often spots what others would pass by.

One of our newest safari guides at Entumoto, Stacy’s love for the wild is as strong as her ambition to inspire other girls from her Maasai community to become guides.

At Entumoto, we proudly employ predominantly local Maasai staff and support their growth through guiding schools, cooking programmes, and further training. We also offer internships to local students — nurturing the next generation of guides, chefs, fundis, and conservation champions.

Our vision is simple: a classic safari experience.
