Yesterday, I turned a dream into reality by graduating with a Degree in Construction Management. 🏗️📐
The journey was far from easy. Balancing assignments, deadlines, and work outside the classroom while trying to keep everything together tested me in ways words cannot fully explain. There were exhausting days, overwhelming moments, and times when the weight of it all felt heavy. But through it all, God’s grace, discipline, commitment, and perseverance kept me going. 🙏🏽❤️
Today, I stand proud, not because the journey was easy, but because I refused to give up. I’ve learned that the future is not just something we wait for; it’s something we design, plan, and build. And in construction, the designs we create and the plans we make today shape the world we live in tomorrow. 🏗️📐
This achievement is a reminder that every great structure begins with a foundation, and every great future begins with a dream, faith, and the courage to keep going.
The degree is earned, the foundation is laid, but the journey has only just begun. 🚀
To God be all the glory. The struggle was real, the commitment was tested, but the victory is mine. 🎓🙏🏽

Nobody warns you that Nairobi looks like a completely different city after 7.00 p.m. 😂😭

During the day you know exactly where you're going. By night, even the buildings start looking like strangers.

When I first came to Nairobi, I survived using only two landmarks.

Afya Centre. Archives.

Those were my Google Maps. 🤣
As long as I could see either one, I knew I was still alive.

One evening, after finishing math paper KNEC EXAM ( .I.B.H.T ,NAIROBI), I started heading home.

Then Nairobi decided it was time for my character development.
I walked.
And walked.
And walked some more.

Suddenly I realized...I couldn't see Afya Centre. I couldn't see Archives. I couldn't even recognize where I was. 😭😂

To make matters worse, it was already dark.🥹

You know that stage in life where you're too lost to even pretend you're not lost? That was me.

Using my phone wasn't even an option. I believed the fastest way to donate your phone in Nairobi was to remove it from your pocket at night. 🤣 Mikoras everywhere 😂

So there I was.

Confused.

Pretending to know where I was going. Walking slowly like someone with a destination, yet my destination had already disowned me. 😭

Then, by God's grace, I saw a lady walking past. In my heart I said, "Father, I have found my destiny helper." 😂

I gathered all the courage I had left and asked her for directions.

Not only did she explain, she actually walked with me all the way to my stage.

Imagine that.

A complete stranger took time out of her evening just to help another confused human being. To that lady... May your tea always have enough sugar.
May your nyama choma never be dry.
May your phone battery never die when you're using Google Maps. 😂❤️

You'll never know how much that kindness meant to me.

Nairobi can humble you, yes. But every once in a while, it also reminds you that good people still exist.

Dear man,

I know you're tired.

Tired of trying.
Tired of praying.
Tired of working hard and seeing little results.

You look around and see other men buying houses, building businesses, getting married, driving cars you can only dream about.

And sometimes you wonder:

"God, when will it be my turn?"

But hear me carefully:

Do not measure your future by your present circumstances.

Many of the men you admire today once stood where you are standing.

Unknown.
Overlooked.
Underestimated.

Before David sat on a throne, he watched sheep.

Before Joseph ruled Egypt, he sat in a prison.

Before God promoted them publicly, He developed them privately.

The process was not punishment.

The process was preparation.

The lesson is not fame.

The lesson is faithfulness.

Don't despise small beginnings.

Don't quit because progress seems slow.

Don't abandon your dreams because the journey is taking longer than expected.

The man who keeps showing up,
keeps learning,
keeps improving,
keeps trusting God,
and keeps moving forward,

is often the man who eventually surprises everyone.

Including himself.

Stay consistent.

Stay teachable.

Stay prayerful.

Stay focused.

The harvest does not come the day after the seed is planted.

But it comes.

One day, people will see the results.

What they won't see are the years of faith, sacrifice, discipline, and perseverance that produced them.

So keep going, man.

The hardest friendships to mourn are the ones that didn’t end with a fight or a betrayal. They ended with two people who genuinely liked each other slowly letting three weeks become three months become a year, until reaching out started to feel like it would require an explanation neither of them wanted to give.
