🔷 WHY FREEMASONS NEVER ASK YOU TO JOIN 🔷
One of the most common questions people ask is:
❝Why don't Freemasons invite people to become members?❞
The answer is simple: Freemasonry is built on the principle of free will.
A Freemason may tell you about the fraternity, its values, its charitable work, and the positive impact it has had on his life. He may answer your questions and encourage you to learn more. But he will never ask you to join.
Why?
Because membership must come from a sincere desire within the individual. Freemasonry seeks men who are motivated by genuine curiosity, a commitment to self-improvement, and a desire to serve humanity—not by persuasion, pressure, or personal gain.
For centuries, candidates have been expected to take the first step themselves. By asking to join, a man demonstrates initiative, independence, and a sincere interest in the principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.
Freemasons do not recruit.
Freemasons do not pressure.
Freemasons do not solicit.
Instead, they simply say:
✨ "If you are interested, ask."
Because in Freemasonry, the journey begins with your own free choice.
"You must ask. That's the rule."
