Someone asked Nicki Minaj, Is there any person richer than you?

She said, yes, only one. Many years ago, I had been dismissed and I had gone to Trinidad airport. I read titles of newspapers there. I liked one of them and I want to buy it. But I didn't have change (coin). So abandoned the idea, suddenly, a black boy called me and told me, “This newspaper for you.” I said, but I don’t have change. He said, “No problem, I give you free”.

After 3 months, I went there. Coincidentally, that story happened again and that same boy gave me another free newspaper again. I said, I can’t accept it. But he said, “I give you from my profit.”

After 19 years, I had been rich and I decided to find that boy. I found him after one and half month's search. I asked him, do you know me? He said, “Yes, you’re famous queen of rap Nicki Minaj.”

I said, you gave me free newspaper 2 times many years ago. Now, I want to compensate it. I am going to give you everything that you want. Black young man replied, “You can’t compensate it!”
I said, why? He said, "Because I gave you when I was poor. You want to give me when you are rich. So, how do you compensate?"

Nicki Minaj said, I think that black young man is richer than me.

You don't have to be rich or wait to be rich to give......

Real attitude of giving is when you lack

There once lived two boys in a village. Both of them, the bestest of friends, the elder one 10 years of age and the other 6.

Once while playing and without realising, the two boys went a little far away from their village. Lost in their games, the elder boy slipped and fell into a ditch, partially filled with water. Not knowing how to swim, scared, the boy started shouting. The younger boy looked around for help, but couldn't find a single person as far as his eyes could see. Suddenly, the boy saw a bucket attatched to a rope, and without wasting any minute, threw the bucket into the ditch for his friend. The 10 year old boy hung on to the bucket while the 6 year old pulled the rope with all his might. He kept trying and was finally able to pull his friend out of the ditch.

Overjoyed at this achievement, the two friends hugged and danced. But suddenly, the thought of their villagers came into their mind. They feared that the villagers would scold them for their carelessness. But much to their surprise, nothing like this happened. In fact, the villagers couldn't believe what they heard. How could a 6 year old boy, who couldn't even lift a bucket full of water, pull a 10 year old out from the ditch?!

None of them believed the boys, except for an aged man who was considered to be the wisest in the village. He applauded the boys for their bravery and courage.

On seeing this, the villagers decided to ask the old man whether the story was real or was it all a lie?

To this the wise, old man replied, "The question here is not whether the story is real or not, but the question is, how could a mere six year old boy, pull a ten year old from the ditch? "

The man said, "It was because at the time of the incident, there wasn't a single person in the vicinity, to tell the small boy that he couldn't do it. Not even the boy himself. "

Short story: 🍎An Apple Tree and Its Unconditional Love

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, and took a nap under the shadow.

He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by, the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.
“Come and play with me”, the tree asked the boy.

“I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more” the boy replied.

“I want toys. I need money to buy them.”

“Sorry, but I do not have money, but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.”

The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited.

“Come and play with me” the tree said.

“I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?”

“Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.” So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted.

“Come and play with me!” the tree said.

“I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” said the man.

“Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.”

So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years. “Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you”, the tree said. “No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite” the
man replied.

“No more trunk for you to climb on.” “I am too old for that now” the man said. “I really cannot give you anything, the only thing left is my dying roots,” the tree said with tears.

“I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years,” the man replied.

“Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, come sit down with me and rest.” The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears.

This is a story of everyone. The tree is like our parents. When we were young, we loved to play with our Mum and Dad. When we grow up, we leave them; only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble. No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could just to make you happy.

You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents. We take them for granted; we don’t appreciate all they do for us, until it’s too late.

The moral of the story is that parents, like the apple tree, love their children unconditionally and are always there to provide for them. However, as we grow up, we tend to take our parents for granted and only come to them when we need something. We should learn to appreciate our parents and all that they do for us before it's too late. We should cherish the time we have with them and show them love and respect, just as they have shown us throughout our lives.

When you wake up in the morning, tell yourself: the people I deal with today will be meddling, ungrateful, arrogant, dishonest, jealous and surly. They are like this because they can't tell good from evil. But I have seen the beauty of good, and the ugliness of evil, and have recognized that the wrongdoer has a nature related to my own - not of the same blood and birth, but the same mind, and possessing a share of the divine. And so none of them can hurt me. No one can implicate me in ugliness. Nor can I feel angry at my relative, or hate him. We were born to work together like feet, hands and eyes, like the two rows of teeth, upper and lower. To obstruct each other is unnatural. To feel anger at someone, to turn your back on him: these are unnatural. ~Marcus Aurelius

On May 31, 1961, Jimi Hendrix became Private James Hendrix.

It all started when Law enforcement authorities twice caught Hendrix riding in stolen cars and when given a choice between spending time in prison or joining the Army, he chose the latter and enlisted.

After completing his basic training at Fort Ord, California, the Army assigned him to the 101st Airborne Division and stationed him at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

In November 1961, fellow serviceman Billy Cox walked past the service club and heard Hendrix playing guitar inside. Cox, intrigued by the proficient playing, which he described as a combination of "John Lee Ho**er and Beethoven", immediately checked-out a bass guitar and the two began to jam. Soon after, they began performing at the base clubs on the weekends with other musicians in a loosely organized band called the Casuals.

That's Private Hendrix, 62 years ago today.

While on an expedition in Africa in 1904, an American explorer purchased a young Pygmy man named Ota Benga from slave traders and brought him to the U.S., where he became part of the “African village” at the St. Louis World’s Fair. After the Fair ended, Ota was hired by the Bronx Zoo to work as a caretaker, but as public fascination with him grew the Zoo began to “exhibit” him, leading to controversy and protests. In response to the criticism the Zoo turned Ota over to Reverend James Gordon, who placed him in an orphanage in Brooklyn.

In 1910 Gordon sent Ota to Lynchburg, Virginia, where he lived with Gregory Hayes, president of Lynchburg’s Virginia Seminary. While a boy in Africa, Ota’s teeth had been chiseled into sharp points, as part of a traditional Pygmy ritual. Rev. Gordon had Ota’s teeth capped and had him dress in conventional American clothing. While attending school he was tutored in English by the poet Anne Spencer. Eventually Ota got a job working in a to***co factory.

Ota’s dream was to return to his home in Africa and he believed he was nearing his goal. But when World War I broke out, travel to Africa became impossible and Ota became deeply depressed.

On March 20, 1916, Ota Benga built a ceremonial fire in the woods, broke the caps off his teeth, and killed himself. He died one hundred and seven years ago today.

5 COMMON REASONS THAT PEOPLE HAVE TROUBLE IDENTIFYING THEIR DREAM

1. Discouragement from other people: Many people have had their dreams knocked out of them. the world is filled with dreams crushers and idea killers. Some people who aren't pursuing any dream of their own don't like to see others pursuing theirs. other people's success makes them feel inadequate or insecure.

2. Some people are hindered by past disappointments and hurts: Disappointment is the gap that exists between expectation and reality. all of us have encountered that gap. we've had an unexpectedly bad experience. we've had to live with our unfulfilled desires and we've had our hope dashed. Disappointment can be highly damaging to us.

3. Some people get in the habit of setting for the habit of average: Columnist Maureen Dowd says, "The minutes you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settled for". Dreams require a person to stretch, to go beyond average. You can't reach for a dream and remain safety mediocre at the same time. The two are incompatible.

4. Some people lack the confidence needed to pursue their dreams: It takes confidence to talk about your dream and more to pursue it. and sometimes confidence separates the people who dream and pursue those dreams from those who don't.

5. Some people lack the imagination to dream: How do people discover their dream? by dreaming! That may sound overly simplistic, but that's where it starts. Imagination is the soil that brings a dream to life. Nobel prize-winning physicist Albert Einstein, a dreamer, and thinker understands the value of the imagination. He said, "When I examine myself and my method of thought, I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge". Einstein called his imagination a "holy curiosity"
