With a HEART of Thanks!

Psalms 100:1-3 “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God.”

What a wonderful reminder to be thankful in ALL THINGS! At HEART, we are so thankful for each one of you who make this ministry possible. Your generous giving and love fill our hearts with gladness, prompting us to sing from the rooftops.

As 2023 ended on December 31st, we came close to meeting our ambitious End of Year goal, yet we are still in need of only $11,357 to reach it!

While the tax advantage of giving in 2023 is now behind us, there’s still time to make a gift designated to the End of Year. Can you help us meet our goal?

A huge thank you, as well, is extended for the $46,940 in giving that we received for specific projects such as Education, NextGen, and Economic Strengthening.

We love and appreciate you, and give God glory for bringing us together for this season and all the promises that lie ahead.

The last month of the year is HEART’s most financially critical month. The giving that occurs now is crucial to our impact in the next year.

I have a challenge for you! We need $125,000 before the end of the year so we can continue the work we started. We currently have raised $33,542. I will personally give $2,000 before the end of the year and with the help of only 46 people to match my $2,000, we will reach our goal!

We’ve dedicated ourselves to addressing a war on poverty and disease by choosing to help some of the most vulnerable moms in Kenya living with HIV. Not through temporary aid, but through empowering our mothers and their children to transform their own futures. Self-sustainability has been our significant HEART landmark.

Here is a snapshot of four of our impact projects:
• 695 WEEP Mothers and their 2,410 children empowered
• 137,831 Malaria prevention nets produced to cover 392,112 sleeping children
• 329,133 adolescent girls have benefitted from the Freedom for Girls project by receiving a year's supply of sanitary pads
• Thousands of mothers and children have undergone medical assessments, including screenings and treatment for cancer and other diseases

This Christ-centered work we get to be a part of is truly life changing.

Miracle Month is in Full Force!

Last week we asked you to seek God's guidance, listen to how you are prompted to give your part to help those in need in Kenya, and ACT.

We have received so MANY gifts!!! In just a short amount of time we have made it to 60% of our goal. Thank you for listening and obeying!

Can I be a bit vulnerable with you for a minute? It’s December and there’s this crazy twinge of fear that challenges my faith. It happens even when I’m fully aware of all God has done for HEART this past year. Honestly, we have witnessed one miracle after another. It’s awesome to think about.

But the fear comes knowing that we need to raise
$100,000 to end 2022 strong.
The confidence, that overrides fear, is knowing
that HEART is truly favored by God, and
December always proves to be a Miracle Month!

HEART’s giving tradition never fails to show the exceeding generosity that comes from the heart of our faithful givers....AND THAT’S YOU!

As we look back on the miracles of 2022, the story that follows is just one example of how God has used YOU and others to fulfill His plan and purpose in the lives of WEEP mothers and their children.

Josiah is 23 years old, the fifth born of seven siblings from Oldonyonyoki, a Maasai Village about four hours from Nairobi. Because he was sponsored through the HEART Education Sponsorship program, he was able to complete high school and college, then followed an invitation to proudly serve in the Kenyan Army. This prestigious invitation is reserved for the few who have demonstrated academic excellence and a qualifying aptitude for special military service.

Of all his siblings, Josiah was the only one sponsored for education and he is the only one employed. Because of HEART, and the commitment of a mentor and a sponsor, Josiah was emboldened to begin his Path to Greatness!

As 2022 comes to an end, our needs are as urgent as ever so we can finish strong and begin 2023 on solid footing. Between now and December 31st we need to raise $100,000 to empower the mothers and children of HEART with education, skills, housing, and medical needs so they can learn, grow and thrive.
