Luxury means little unless it protects what makes it possible.

Surana Mara camp exists in harmony with one of the world’s greatest ecosystems. Renewable energy. Locally crafted furnishings. Every decision made with the lightest possible footprint in mind.

Rather than clearing the forest to build here, we let the forest shape us. From above, our tents disappear beneath the canopy, with mature indigenous trees preserved wherever possible and ongoing efforts to restore and replant for generations to come.

The Mara River has shaped this landscape for centuries, drawing wildlife to its banks and setting the ever-changing backdrop to life here.

From the moment you arrive, there’s a fresh new look throughout: our restaurant, reception, bar, lounge, gazebo and pool areas have all been beautifully updated, ready to welcome you in comfort and style.

We’ve also introduced a brand-new spa for those well-earned moments of relaxation, and Aruba Café, the perfect spot for a coffee or a bite between game drives.

Of course, what hasn’t changed is the view. Ashnil Aruba still looks out over the Aruba Dam, with its wildlife-rich surrounds bringing elephants, buffalo and birdlife right to your doorstep.
