Vultures have an important job to do, and they deserve a little more appreciation.

Today, we’re celebrating four species found at Mugie ... Rüppell’s, White-backed, Hooded and Lappet-faced vultures.

They may do the dirty work, but they’re a vital part of keeping the ecosystem healthy, helping clear up carcasses and keep the spread of disease in check.

Swipe through to see how to tell them apart and get to know these often-overlooked members of Mugie’s wildlife community.

Birding safaris offer much more than simply spotting beautiful birds. They create a deeper connection with nature while helping people understand why healthy ecosystems matter.

Birds are important indicators of ecosystem health. Changes in bird populations can signal changes in forests, wetlands, grasslands and other habitats.
