Savage Wilderness fulfilled the objective of the trip, safety was a priority, and SW facilitated our getting to the top of the mountain. Staff were very friendly and competent. The food was good given where we were. We, in the main, thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Had this been a high cost road trip SW might have have benefitted from a female touch to smooth out the edges for any softer members of the group.

My trip up Mount Kenya far exceeded my expectations, thanks to the Savage team. The whole expedition was exceptionally well organised from start to finish. I was incredibly impressed by how well we were fed - no small task when catering for a group of 50 for 5 days on a mountain! The Savage guides were fantastic with the children- firm when needed, always organised and brilliant at keeping them motivated and in good spirits throughout. A huge thanks to Glen, Julius, Moses and the entire team for making it such a memorable experience.

Had such an amazing solo staycation over the weekend! The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the whole place has such a calm, quiet, and refreshing vibe.

Rafting was definitely a highlight for me — our guide made it so fun and unforgettable! The staff were all incredibly kind and welcoming, but a special shoutout to Carol 😊 — she’s truly one of a kind.

What excited me the most though was the suspended tent right beside the river… such a unique and magical experience!

I’ll definitely be coming back again — next time with friends to share the experience 💫

At Savage Wilderness, camping isn't about "roughing it"—it’s about being properly set up. Our gravity-fed bucket shower is a guest favorite designed for comfort and efficiency in any environment.

The Process:
Heat: Water is heated over an open fire to the perfect temperature.

Setup: The water is poured into a bucket suspended above a private shower tent.

The Rhythm: Soak fully, switch the water off to soap up, then turn it back on for a hot rinse.

Simple, effective, and built to ensure you finish every day well.
