When Nairobi National Park is completely gone, the city will lose its soul. They’re curving out huge junks of its pristine and natural land away bits by bits in the name of conservation!
Real conservation is not taking more than 80 acres of natural land from a national park to build infrastructure on it and call it an animal orphanage center.
So you’re saying that, Nairobi National Park will regain 7.9 acres from the closure of the current Nairobi Animal Refuge center right? What about the 80 acres it is about to lose for the new mega facility that will be nothing but, gigantic structures of concrete?
We sing about conservation to the world but we allowed the Southern Bypass and a diesel locomotive line in the name of the Standard Gauge Railway to cut through the national park right?
We’re not fighting the government and we can care less about who is in government but are solely wailing and weeping for Nairobi National Park. History will judge us harshly.
