Are you planning to travel between Nairobi and the Kenya coast this holiday season? Halfway House is easily accessible from the main Nairobi highway, just a few minutes' drive from Voi town and situated right on on the border of Tsavo East National Park. Why not stop off for an overnight stay while enjoying our breathtaking views of the park and wild animals?

The new road from Tsavo East Sala Gate to Malindi is amazing! We drove back to Watamu in less than 2 hours. This is a game changer for people wanting a short getaway to Tsavo from Malindi or Watamu. And it's a far cry from the last time I made that journey, got caught in a rain storm and stuck in black cotton soil for hours. What a wonderful improvement!

This week we've made some new lamps to hold a 'smart bulb', which will stay on for several hours while the electricity is off. There are currently three of these, we're making more so that there will be one available for each bedroom, but they can be moved around and plugged in anywhere.
