Here's how Rotarians (and supporters) can get involved with late PP. Markโs Legacy WASH Project:
1. Attend Fellowships (From 21st April, 2026)
โ This is the easiest and most direct way to show support.
๐ Date: Tuesday, 21st April, 2026
โ Time: 6:30 PM arrival (for 7:00 PM sharp start)
๐ Venue: Hadassah Hotel, Ralph Bunche Rd., Upperhill, Nairobi
โ Purpose: Network with fellow Rotarians, hear updates from Project Chairperson PN. Kenneth Mugambi*, learn about _project progress, and celebrate service in honor of the late Past President Mark_ (also referred to as Mark Francis Mwangi Ndonga).
โ Come ready to connect, inspire, and commit โ itโs a fellowship with real impact!
2. Financial Contributions & Fundraising
โ The club is raising funds specifically for this legacy project (earlier calls mentioned a target of about *USD 40,000* for a comprehensive solution).
โ Core component: Drilling a borehole to provide reliable, clean, tapped water at Naromoru Boys Secondary School (Laikipia area). The school currently struggles with inconsistent water access, especially during hot, dry seasons โ affecting studentsโ health, hygiene, and learning.
โ Funds also support broader WASH elements: improved sanitation facilities, handwashing stations, and hygiene education/training for students and staff.
โ Ways to contribute:
โข Donate directly via the Rotary Club of Westlands channels.
โข Sponsor part of the borehole, tanks, plumbing, or training
โข Mobilize your company, friends, or family for donations.
โข Explore Rotary Foundation grants (District or Global Grants) if scaling up.

3. Hands-On Involvement
โ Volunteer during implementation (site visits, borehole drilling oversight, installation of water systems, or hygiene training sessions).
โ Share skills โ engineers, water experts, educators, or project managers are especially valuable for sustainability (training the school community on maintenance and ownership).
โ Help with monitoring and evaluation to ensure long-term impact.
4. Spread the Word & Build Partnerships
โ Invite other Rotarians, clubs
