When the road turns into a river… we make our own way! 😂🌊
Welcome to Family Batcave Homestay – Battambang ❤️
During the rainy season, sometimes the water has its own plans! 😄
Our guest arrived, but the water had completely covered the road and surrounding area, so the tuk-tuk couldn't drive all the way to the homestay.

No problem!
👣 We simply walked through the water from the roadside to our homestay.
Luckily, our traditional Khmer-style house is built about 1–2 meters above the ground, so even when the yard becomes a little “swimming pool,” our home stays nice and dry. 😂🏡

Then came check-out time…
The tuk-tuk still couldn't come in! 🛺❌

So what did we do?
🛶 We built a little raft and gave our guest a boat ride back to the roadside! 😂

From the homestay → 🛶 raft → roadside → 🛺 tuk-tuk → Battambang City.
Not exactly your ordinary check-out experience! 😂❤️

But that's part of staying with a local Cambodian family — sometimes you get a room, sometimes you get a countryside adventure, and sometimes… you get your own private boat transfer! 😆🛶

At Family Batcave Homestay, we may not control the rain, but we always try our best to make sure our guests get home safely — and hopefully with a great story to tell! ❤️🇰🇭
