Oknha Hy Sothea, National President of the Cambodia Hotel Association (CHA), joined H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and Lok Chumteav Song Thida in celebrating the 77th International Children’s Day, the 25th World Day Against Child Labour, and Cambodian Children’s Day 2026 under the theme “Peace as the Foundation for the Respect and Protection of Children’s Rights.”

The event brought together government leaders, tourism stakeholders, parents, and around 450 children to promote children’s rights, welfare, education, and development.

H.E. Huot Hak emphasized that children are the future of the nation and that investing in their well-being, education, healthcare, and safety is essential for Cambodia’s sustainable development.

The celebration featured educational and recreational activities, while the Ministry of Tourism distributed educational kits to 284 children and performers. On this occasion, H.E. Huot Hak and Lok Chumteav Song Thida also donated 3 million riel to the PSE Organization to support children’s education and well-being.

Oknha Hy Sothea, National President of the Cambodia Hotel Association (CHA), joined H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, in supporting the filming of a promotional video for Cambodia’s pilot visa exemption campaign for Chinese citizens and the “Visit Cambodia in the Green Season” campaign.

The initiative, organized in collaboration with Cambodia–China Friendship Radio and supported by tourism private-sector stakeholders, aims to showcase Cambodia’s unique tourism offerings, attract more international visitors, and strengthen the country’s position as a welcoming destination throughout the year.

The event brought together international tourism buyers, tourism associations, and industry stakeholders to strengthen cooperation and promote Cambodia’s tourism potential to the global market. During the event, H.E. the Minister highlighted Cambodia’s strong tourism growth, visa exemption pilot program for Chinese tourists, and the “Visit Cambodia in the Green Season” campaign.

Mr. Bruno Van, Vice President of the Cambodia Hotel Association, attended the “Cambodia–Haikou Cultural and Tourism Exchange Day 2026” in Haikou City, Hainan Province, Republic of China, in support of promoting Cambodia’s tourism potential and strengthening Cambodia–China tourism cooperation.

With the support of the Royal Government of Cambodia, H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, presided over the event as part of the “Cambodia–China Tourism Year.” The program brought together government representatives, tourism stakeholders, cultural performers, and more than 200 participants from Haikou City, including Ms. Tong Guichang, Vice Mayor of Haikou City, and Mr. Iv Sokhom, Consul General of Cambodia in Hainan Province.

During the event, H.E. the Minister highlighted Cambodia’s pilot visa exemption policy for Chinese citizens from 15 June to 15 October 2026, along with the “Visit Cambodia in the Green Season” campaign, offering attractive promotions and tourism benefits for visitors.

The event also featured vibrant cultural and artistic performances from both Cambodia and China, reflecting the rich heritage, traditional culture, and strong friendship between the two nations while inspiring more Chinese tourists to visit Cambodia.
