Last Wednesday, June 3rd, was a milestone for Sala Baï. Thanks to a collaboration with the FCC Angkor by Avani, it was our biggest charity dinner in over a decade!
Here is what we achieved together:
🥂 The Event
A huge thank you to FCC Angkor by Avani for hosting the dinner, and to the Giselle Bali team. Chef Antoine Darquin, Chef Freya Hana Mariane, and percussionist Dimas Djoko Purnomo traveled all this way to amaze our guests with an exotic menu and live music. Our students loved working and learning alongside them during two full days of kitchen and event preparation!
💰 The Impact
In just one evening, we raised $7300USD! Every dollar raised that night has a direct impact on the futures of young Cambodians, as 100% of the profits will fund the next students’ scholarships, including a full year of vocational training, safe housing, meals, healthcare, and more. Thank you for helping us fight poverty through professional training.
🎁 The Raffle & Auction
Thanks to generous hotels, restaurants, artists, artisans, and tour guides, we had over 90 luxury prizes donated. Nearly everyone went home with a prize!
