Let’s face it, 2020 isn’t all that good so far.
For those away from home and who miss the warm family atmosphere of Christmas, let’s celebrate this holiday the right way… sitting around a beautifully decorated table filled with food, while Home Alone plays on TV somewhere in the background.
If this warm and caring holiday atmosphere is what you miss, I’d like to invite you to a very special Christmas Eve Dinner and Christmas day Lunch here on Seagarden Koh Ta Kiev.
On Christmas Eve the Seagarden beachside restaurant will be transformed into a holiday theme Christmasy place, while our pet goat will happily pose as a Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. The 12 dish holiday feast extravaganza will start as soon as the first star appears. By that time (secret) Santa has already gift wrapped his (nominal value) presents and put them under the mango tree (according to local tradition;). The meal will comprise of one or two dishes from each of our guests country of origin, as well as vegan dishes, with a total of 12. After a great family style dinner we of course open the presents. 10pm is when the movie starts. We will be playing “The wizard of Oz” and finishing up the Mulled wine.

Vegan: Herb-infused roast potatoes,
chilli-charred Brussels sprouts
Complementary glass of mulled wine,
Secret Santa and gift wrapping

Christmas eve is of course when you’re too full to eat anymore, but you still do and then rationalize your bad choices saying that you’ll start your diet after the holidays. Of course, Home Alone 2 and other movies still play in the background…

PS. For those for whom global pandemics and event cancellations are a concern, rest assured, this event will not be cancelled. On the islands social distancing is natural and your plans will not be influenced by gathering restrictions.
Please note that on dec 24th dinner and dec 25th lunch, the restaurant will not be serving normal menu items. Also, the Christmas menu might slightly change, depending on our confirmed participants.
