[NOTICE] Announcement for Participant Recruitment (2023 2nd Overseas Adoptee Korean Courses)

National Center for the Rights of the Child(hereinafter referred to as NCRC) and King Sejong Institution Foundation(hereinafter referred to as KSIF) run 2023 2nd Overseas Adoptee Korean Courses to provide intercountry adoptees the instrument of forming identity by getting organized Korean courses and experiencing cultures of motherland. We look forward to active participation of intercountry adoptees.

1. Title: 2023 2nd Overseas Adoptee Korean Courses

2. Course Content: Level-by-level Korean language and culture education of KSIF

3. Method: Online class(Contact-free, real time class), Offline class

4. Duration: 7th Aug 2023 ~ 30th Nov 2023 (15 Weeks)

5. Completion Ceremony: 2023.12. 8. (Fri)

6. Place(Offline class): NCRC or (Jongno-gu, Seoul)

7. Qualification: Overseas adoptee ※ Priority selection of people who meet all the following conditions

- A person who has residency in Korea, and is able to attend more than 80% of Korean curriculum as of the date of the public announcement

- Overseas adoptee who does not have problem staying Korea, with an F4 Visa, dual citizenship or et cetera.

8. Exclusion from selection

- A person who needs special attention during the course, such as severe allergies, seizure or shock to specific food

9. Tuition Fee: None (NCRC, KSIF cover the fee)

10. Application: Monday, 8th May, 2023~ Friday, 16th June, 24:00(KST)

11. How to apply: Recruitment on a first-come, first-served basis, according to online application(Google Survey) (50 People)

G.O.A.’L. and Seoul National University have partnered up again to offer Let’s Speak Korean!

This 8-week online program is offered for Korean adoptees looking to learn more about Korea through the perspective of Korean students! Opportunities for Korean speaking practice will also be offered during each session.

Courses will be level-friendly for adoptees with no Korean experience to advanced-intermediate speakers.

> One 1.5 h session per week for 8 weeks (March 30 to May 24)
> There will be classes in the mornings (9 am to 10:30) and evenings between 7 and 9:30 pm (KST/ Korean time!)
