A bit about our village:
Falougha is a small village with history; Romans and Turks laid their prints on it. On the top of the Kneiseh Mountain you can reach the ruins of an old Roman Church with its big famous yellow stones. The mountain is named after it and it’s a 4 hours climbing distance from the center if you like to have some adventure and see the most wonderful views of the Bekaa valley to the east or the sun set to mount Lebanon, Beirut and the see to the west. On the way there you can visit the Cedars forest of Falougha. The forest holds the youngest cedar trees of Lebanon but has a great history where the first lebanese flag was raised to declare the independence of Lebanon from French colonization. In the center of the village you can find the famous Turkish municipality gate made by a famous architect (the legend says that the architect’s hands were cut after he designed this gate), sad story but still a good story. century churches. The most important things that this amazing village is famous with are, its water, clean air and nature.
