Mellow Hostel: a place to feel at home.

Deniz, the founder and the friendly man who will likely receive you upon arrival, had once an urge. He decided to drop a corporate carrier to switch his lifestyle into a more mellow one: moved to Sri Lanka and started what today we know as the hostel.

He doesn’t believe in hierarchies and this shows in Mellow being more like a home: everybody gets to participate, bring in ideas and feel equally valued. Because of this openness that you breath at Mellow, our guests are not guests. They are part of the Mellow family.

We value community and we encourage collaboration and exchange. Many of us are longterm stayers and backpackers, some of us are digital nomads or are living some kind of alternative lifestyle. And there are also some of us, who are considering a switch of path and find at Mellow people with stories and journeys alike, from who to learn and find answers to many of our questions.
