A table on the sand, a fire that keeps the dark at a distance, and the Indian Ocean turning over quietly a few metres away. Everything on the plate was in our garden this morning.

Meet Aari (ආරි)
Every morning, before most guests are awake, he’s already here ; moving through the garden, basket in hand, picking what’s ready.
Tomatoes still warm from the sun. Brinjal pulled fresh from the stem. Chilies chosen one by one.
What ends up in your meal at Ravana Gardens was in the ground a few hours ago. That’s not a marketing line. That’s just how ආරි works. ආරි made sure of it.
