Cadjan Sacred is located in the sacred city of Anuradhapura which is a UNESCO world heritage site. It is an ancestral walawwa ( Sinhala manor house ) restored and rehabilitated maintaining most of its original design elements with modern facilities. Walawwa is the sinhalese name given to a feudal or colonial manor house built in Sri Lanka by native headman as well as the feudal lords of the late m

edieval era and the Portuguese (1505-1658), Dutch (1658-1796) and British colonial era (1796-1948) of Ceylon (now called Sri Lanka). Cadjan Sacred is placed across 36 acres of land scattered with fruit trees that attract many species of birds and monkeys seen hovering across the treetops. Cadjan Sacred is set up with a living room, 2 air-conditioned bedrooms each furnished with an antique four poster double bed with mosquito netting and an adjoining bathroom with hot and cold water, dining room and a plunge pool. Serves traditional Sri Lankan cuisine prepared with fresh village vegetables and meats. Guests can tour UNESCO world heritage site of Anuradhapura, home to vast irrigation reservoirs, coloccal stupas, Buddhist temples and restored ruins of ancient buildings most of which are within walking distance. Guests can enjoy safari tours and lunch by the riverside at Wilpattu National Park, home to elephants, sloth bear and the elusive leopard. Wilpattu National Park is just a 30 to 40 minute drive North-West of the walawwa.
