A Gentle Update from the Southern Coast

Sri Lanka experienced a fast-moving storm system over the past 48 hours, affecting mainly the central parts of the island. We are grateful to share that Mosvold Villa Ahangama and Sundara by Mosvold Balapitiya remained completely unharmed, and our teams are safe and well.

By Saturday, the skies opened again and the sun returned to the south. Our resorts are operating smoothly, surrounded by calm seas, clear horizons, and the same warm hospitality that feels Significantly You.

All travel routes to the south remain open.
The southern highway is fully operational, and the road from the airport to Mosvold Villa and Sundara is clear and safe for travel, ensuring uninterrupted access for guests.

Some communities in the central highlands continue to recover from landslides and connectivity challenges. Through the Mosvold Martinus Foundation, we are supporting affected families with essential supplies, including food and clean water, as they rebuild. Our hearts remain with every community on their journey back to stability.

Sri Lanka stands resilient — and a strong tourism season will play a meaningful role in uplifting these regions in the months ahead.
