Amba Estate produces a range of artisan, hand-made teas, coffee, spices and preserves. We partner with the local community to support a variety of educational, economic and environmental programmes. Guests have the opportunity to stay in the 100 year old farm house and learn about organic farming and how handcrafted teas and other products are made.

We are absolutely thrilled to share this beautiful, in-depth blog post by Sam & Chris from Relentless Roaming. They spent a couple of nights with us recently, and they really managed to capture what we are trying to do here. 🌿

In their guide, they talk about everything from the 'Teaology' tastings to making their own tea, eating farm-to-table meals (they loved our pumpkin soup!), and how we operate as a social enterprise to support our local community and tea artisans. And yes, they didn't forget Henrietta and her puppies—our resident four-legged hiking guides who escorted them right up to Eagle Rock! 🐕🏔️

We are delighted to share some highlights from Venice Tea Day 2026, where our Production Manager and Tea Master, Neethanjana, proudly represented AMBA Estate and Sri Lanka on the international stage, alongside our Director, Simon.

From delivering his keynote speech, "Sri Lanka: The New Voice of Ceylon Tea", to leading a masterclass on Sri Lankan artisanal teas, it was a wonderful opportunity to share our passion, knowledge, and craftsmanship with tea enthusiasts from around the world.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Venice Tea Day organisers for their warm hospitality and for creating such a memorable event. We are truly honoured to have been part of this celebration of tea and to showcase the craftsmanship behind Sri Lanka's artisanal teas.

We are very excited to announce that Neethanjana, AMBA's Production Manager and Tea Master, has been invited to be a keynote speaker at the Venice Tea Day. This unique celebration of tea will be hosted at the historic Scuola Grande di San Marco in Venice on June 20 and 21, 2026.

Neethanjana will be presenting a keynote speech on “Sri Lanka: the new voice of Ceylon Tea” on the morning of June 21, and he will be leading a masterclass on "The Artisan Way - Exploring exceptional teas from Sri Lanka" on the evening of June 21.

We do hope that many of our friends and fans from Italy and neighbouring countries may be able to join for this inaugural event.

We were pleased to be part of the Sri Lanka – Germany Business Forum 2026, held at ITC Colombo on 28 May, through our involvement with the Ceylon Artisanal Tea Association (CATA), which participated as a Supporting Partner for the event.

The forum brought together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders from Sri Lanka and Germany, creating valuable opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, and future partnerships.

As a proud member of CATA, AMBA Estate is delighted to support the growth and recognition of Sri Lanka's artisanal tea sector on both local and international platforms.

At AMBA, our cows are more than just part of the farm,they are family. 🐄🌿✨

​Today, we celebrate Mattu Pongal, a special day dedicated to honoring and thanking the cattle who work alongside us. From providing organic fertilizer for our tea bushes to being a gentle presence in our highlands, they are vital to the life and soul of our estate.

​We’ve spent the morning grooming, decorating, and offering treats to our beloved rescue herd to show our deep appreciation for their hard work and companionship. 🍎🌾
​Wishing you a day filled with the same abundance and harmony that our animals bring to us every day.
