We are excited to announce that Browns Hotels & Resorts Learning Academy is officially open at The Eden Beruwala.
Designed to bridge the gap between education and the real-world hospitality industry, the Academy provides selected youth from the community with the opportunity to gain a recognised qualification, develop practical skills and experience the workings of a five-star hotel environment – at no cost to the students.
The inaugural TVEC-approved NVQ Level 03 – Hotel Operation Multitasker Programme commenced, combining classroom learning with hands-on hotel experience.
The launch ceremony was graced by Mr. Eksath Wijeratne, CEO, Browns Hotels & Resorts; Mr. Rohan Gamage, Cluster General Manager, The Eden Beruwala; Mr. Indaka De Silva, Vice President, Bentota Beruwala Hoteliers Association; Dr. Harsha Jayasinghe, Secretary, Bentota Beruwala Hoteliers Association; Mr. Farrel Blom, Treasurer, Bentota Beruwala Hoteliers Association; and Mr. Sampath Wasala, Human Resource Officer, Kalutara Government Agent’s Office, together with the management team and inaugural batch of students.
