It was a privilege to host acclaimed British actress and humanitarian advocate Rosamund Pike for three memorable days at Galle Face Hotel, Colombo’s iconic Grand Dame.

Her journey to Sri Lanka carried a purpose far beyond the screen, drawing attention to the continuing humanitarian effort to create a future free from landmines and to help communities reclaim their land, livelihoods and sense of safety.

During her stay, Rosamund added her signature to our treasured VIP Guest Book, while a commemorative frame now takes its place within the hotel’s historic museum collection , forever marking her visit as part of a legacy more than 160 years in the making.

A meaningful visit, a remarkable guest, and another story now woven into the enduring history of the Galle Face Hotel.
