As the final worship of our pilgrimage, the devotees paid homage at Gangaramaya Temple in Colombo. Even in the busy capital city, Buddhism continues to shine and guide the people in the true Buddhist way. Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!🙏

Pilgrims from Arunachal Pradesh, especially from Namsai and Chowkham, travel with deep faith to worship at the sacred Sri Pada (Adam’s Peak).

Sri Pada is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Buddhists around the world. During the pilgrimage season from Duruthu Poya in December to Vesak Poya in May, devotees climb the sacred mountain barefoot with great devotion to worship the sacred footprint believed to be of the Buddha and receive blessings.

It is truly a blessing to bring devotees from Namsai and Chowkham to this holy place and witness their deep faith and devotion in Sri Lanka. 🙏

Early this morning, we had the rare blessing of worshipping at the most sacred Buddhist site in the world — the Temple of the Tooth, home of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. 🙏✨

🛕 Visited the sacred Nagadeepa Rajamaha Viharaya in the beautiful Jaffna Peninsula.

From Jaffna town, about an hour’s drive takes you to the jetty, followed by a peaceful 30-minute ferry ride to reach this holy island temple.

According to the ancient Mahavamsa, the Buddha visited Sri Lanka three times, and His second visit was to Nagadeepa. He arrived here to settle a dispute between the Naga kings, Mahodara and Chulodara, preaching Dhamma and bringing peace and harmony.

Nagadeepa is not only a historical site but a deeply spiritual place — a land blessed by the Buddha Himself, symbolizing reconciliation, unity, and compassion.
