Hi, you would have heard about the Easter bombings that took place in Sri Lanka. Many lives were lost and even many more lives were shattered by the multiple bombings at multiple sites. Though it has been more than a month, and many commitments for help and support have been promised and/or delivered, there are still many more needs that are yet to be met. Therefore, a few of us have teamed up with Anglican Aid in Australia to work with two registered organizations in Sri Lanka to help with some of these needs. We are not focusing on rebuilding of the physical structures, but the individual lives of the direct and indirect victims as well as the community overall. Some of the key needs are around medical treatments (short term and long term) as well as psycho social needs of the victims such as trauma counselling.
The two organizations on the ground we would be working with (CERI and NCEASL) have staff who are already involved in these areas of work and hence 100% of the funds we give them will go towards the needs.
We are working with Anglican Aid also so that those who contribute can receive a tax-deductible receipt that can be utilized if that's applicable to you. Additional details of the program as well as donation options are provided on the website below. Please help towards the fundraiser by donating if possible as well as by spreading the word so that we can raise as much funds as possible. May God bless you richly in every way for your continued heart towards the needy. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
