Taj Samudra, Colombo proudly celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on 15th of August, 2026 with a heartwarming flag-hoisting ceremony at the hotel.

The Indian National Flag was ceremonially hoisted by Mr. Samrat Datta, Area Director – Taj Sri Lanka & Maldives and General Manager of Taj Samudra, in the presence of team members and inhouse guests.

Following the flag hoisting, associates and guests came together to extend warm Independence Day greetings and enjoyed an array of delectable refreshments at the premises.
