Our resorts celebrated Children’s Day alongside children from the MJF Foundation and our in-house guests, with a day filled with laughter, playful activities, new friendships and plenty of fun. From games to creative activities, it was a day of simply being curious, carefree and having a good time together.

At Resplendent Ceylon, these questions shape the way we work with people and partners across our resorts. Crafting Impact is a new series sharing the stories behind those choices and the people bringing them to life.

We begin with Mineral Earth, whose soaps you will find on our shelves. Founded by Ravihari who taught herself the craft during lockdown. What began as a personal pursuit has grown into a business run by local women. Ravihari also shares her skills through the MJF Foundation’s Women’s Development Programmes, including a workshop at its Weligama centre.

For the second consecutive year, all three Resplendent Ceylon resorts have been awarded the prestigious MICHELIN Key distinctions, retaining six MICHELIN Keys across our collection.

For the second year running, we welcomed students in Grades 7 to 11 from the MJF Centre to Wild Coast Tented Lodge. We look forward to making this an annual tradition.

Selected for their knowledge of Yala National Park and its biodiversity, the students spent the day learning how the lodge operates, speaking with our team about careers in conservation, and joining our Rangers on a guided safari. Seeing the landscape they had studied firsthand gave them a chance to connect their classroom learning with the work of protecting Sri Lanka’s natural heritage.

Three months into their RACE journey, and already so much to reflect on.

Our RACE students recently reconnected with the Chairman and senior leadership team to share their experiences, challenges and key learnings from their first three months at Resplendent Ceylon.

The session was an opportunity to recognise their progress, hear how practical exposure has shaped their understanding of luxury hospitality, and discuss the skills and aspirations they hope to develop in the months ahead.

More than a milestone, it was a moment to build confidence, exchange perspectives and reinforce the values of learning, service and continuous improvement that shape the Resplendent culture.

We look forward to seeing where the next chapter of their journey takes them.
