Dedicating my International leopard day post to one of the famous n fearless female leopardess, who is no longer with us . The “ Broken tail” of wilpattu. Though she was never successful of raising her cubs ( as all cubs went missing within first few weeks ) , i still believe the famous kurutupandi female was one of her very early litter cub. ( as i have seen them both on same tree tolerating each other sharing a carcass in walikanda area)

Yesterday i was able to capture my 140th leopard in the jungles of Sri Lanka. And 13th April marks my 22nd year anniversary since i visited my very first national park ( Udawalawa ) as a school kid back in 2004 . Many thanks to every one who helped me , taught me , supported me and specially to my wife for tolerating my jungle madness!!
