From every direction you look out on beautiful views across the rich green tapestry of the landscape: whether you see the sun rising in the east or setting in the west, the memory will stay with you forever. to the south-east the big red statue of the Buddha is always peeping from its setting among the trees bringing a wonderful feeling of tranquillity to Hillside. and to the south, across the sweeping trees you will often spy big ships out on the horizon making their way to Colombo and India. Closer to hand you can watch myriads of colourful birds such as green parrots and electric blue kingfishers as they swoop past as well as large predators soaring overhead. We offer a flexible package of services to suit your requirements. Our reliable staff will give you personal attention, attending to every detail in their friendly way. For example, we can arrange to meet you at the airport in Colombo and either take you straight to Hillside or on a customised tour with an experienced tour chauffeur in comfortable new vehicles to see the famous ancient cities of the north for as many days as you wish – attending to all your hotel bookings etc – again to suit your needs. Back at Hotel Hillside, we have our own tuk-tuk (three wheeler) for hire so that you can make trips around Galle where there is much to see and do.
