When architects fall silent, the space is speaking. 🤍

This week, we had the privilege of hosting a group of architecture enthusiasts from Three Flaneurs India Arch Open — a design collective that has taken groups across India and beyond to explore some of the world’s most considered spaces.

They visited SOVA Ahangama architectural piece by Indudunu Kariyawasam.

From the living room — where afternoon light pools through the teak-framed facade — to the vaulted bedroom ceiling that opens the space upward, every corner became a conversation.

Sova wasn’t designed to impress. It was designed to be felt.

Sometimes, it’s the smallest details that leave the biggest impression. 🍪✨

For a recent visit to Sova Ahangama, we wanted to create something a little different—an edible keepsake featuring our location and branding, allowing guests to literally take a piece of the Sova story with them.

A special thank you to Tutus Kookies⁠ for turning this idea into beautifully crafted custom cookies. The attention to detail and quality exceeded our expectations.

At Sova, we believe hospitality goes beyond providing a place to stay. It’s about thoughtful touches, memorable moments, and creating experiences that guests will remember long after they leave.

We built Sova because we believed slow living deserved a proper address.

Ahangama on Sri Lanka’s south coast is not loud. It doesn’t try to impress you. The stilt fishermen were here before tourism. The train has always stopped just long enough. The waves arrive without announcement and leave the same way.

Into this, we placed two bedrooms. Architect-designed. Teak screens that filter morning light. Space that breathes.
Not a hotel. Not a resort. A villa that knows what rest actually looks like.

Out of office. Into Sova.
